The snow kept on falling, burying the dead leaves under its thick coat. It was peaceful. Maybe that's why I'd sat on this bench for the past hours. Or maybe why I kept looking at the spot where Seokjin and I had stood when he promised me to wait. Now I was free, but was he really serious about it? I hated myself for doubting everything so much.

"I still think it's cute when you do that", his voice was almost too loud for this silent park.

Jin sat down next to me, his nose red from the cold. Mine probably was, as well.

"When I do what?"

He grinned "Stare at things for an eerily long time"

I couldn't help but chuckle, our eyes finally meeting. "I have a lot to explain, don't I?", a sigh left my mouth.

Seokjin lightly shook his head "I talked to Namjoon. I wish there had been a way for you to tell me the reason but I know why you chose not to"

My heart started beating faster, he wasn't angry at me. It was as if a huge weight had been lifted off of my shoulders after the past months. I smiled at him brightly.

"But I should at least tell you that I broke up with Taehyung", my grin grew wider. Jin's mouth fell open but I quickly explained "He deleted everything", I shrugged before adding "he got what he wanted"

"So you're... free?", his eyes sparkled and I could feel the warm feeling in my body rising up. I nodded.

For a few moments, we just looked at each other, the tension growing stronger.

"Hayoon, I wish I could turn back time to experience everything for the first time with you", Jin grinned.

"Oh, shut up", I giggled at his cheesy reciting and lowered my head before I hit back "Then I'd rather interrupt you with a kiss next time"

That just made Jin groan in defeat "Please don't remind me of that"

I tilted my head "Then think of it as my line and just forget you ever said that"

The distance between us kept getting smaller with each word until Seokjin only had to whisper for me to understand "And when is the next time?"

I wanted to answer sarcastically but as I looked up, his face was right in front of mine, only a few centimetres separating us. The butterflies in my stomach went crazy but I wasn't afraid anymore.

"Now", I breathed.

Our lips met, finally being united. And although we had joked about it, this truly felt like a first kiss, just because it was more beautiful than any other I had ever had.

We parted, both grinning like idiots. Jin put his forehead against mine, carefully brushing away a strand of my hair.

"Maybe now's the time to confess what a huge crush I've had on you", he grinned.

I burst out laughing, looking at him in disbelief "You too?"

Both of us couldn't help but giggle as we held each other's hands.

"I love you, Hayoon"

"I love you too, Jin"
