_______
About two hours had passed and not one word about maths had been spoken - not really surprising to be honest. Jungkook and me turned out to dislike the exact same people from school and bonded over gossiping – which is always the best way to get to know someone.
"So do you think that there's a girl Kim Yugyeom hasn't tried to get with?", he giggled at his own joke.
I raised my hand "Me! I'm like the only exception for all the fuckboys", a sad smile fell onto my face.
"But you're in a relationship with one of the most popular guys now", Jungkook pointed out.
I shrugged "Well I had to work damn hard for it"
He furrowed his brows "It always seemed as if Taehyung and you were love at first sight"
My stomach turned "We really weren't. He had like ten other girls at the time... and still does", I sighed.
"Oh... I'm sorry Hayoon-ah", Jungkook quickly apologized and we grew silent.
That was until a yell reached our ears "YAH! Come and eat, pizza's here", Yoongi's voice was remarkably loud and we got up.
"Do you need help?", I offered.
But Jungkook simply shook his head "Nah, I'm fine. You can go on ahead, I need to change", he pointed down at his pyjamas.
Wasn't this his house? If I were him, I'd just keep on the comfy clothes. Confused, I left the room and walked down into the first floor. Now... where was the kitchen? There were two different hallways, I chose to go left. The first two doors I opened were a bathroom and a guest room. Just as I closed the second one, someone almost walked into me.
"Yah!", he groaned before looking at me. Kim Seokjin. What the ever living hell was he doing there? My heart rate quadrupled and I felt my brain cells slowly dying off.
"S-sorry", I stammered and took a small bow. Great, at least I managed to bring out something.
He shook his head, his hair flopping around as he did so. It was surely the cutest thing I had ever seen. "No Hayoon, I'm sorry. I wouldn't have reacted so rude if I knew – ", he started his own apology for whatever reason when Yoongi peeked his head around the corner.
"Yah, Hyung you coming ba- oh, there you are, Hayoon", his look switched between Seokjin and me, slowly getting confused "Are you going to stay like that?"
This finally broke our trance and I managed to follow them to the kitchen, taking deep breaths to slow down my heart hopefully. Jungkook was already there, propped up against the counter with his eyes glued onto his phone. At the table sat Hoseok, hungrily devouring a piece of his pizza. He looked at me with the slice still hanging out of his mouth "Hey, Hayoon", he smiled, almost dropping the pizza and hastily catching it with his hands.
Couldn't Yoongi have told me that his friends were here? Especially ONE friend of his. I sighed, unsure on where to sit down as Seokjin grabbed the chair next to Hoseok.
"Don't you want to eat?", he threw me a smile. This. Was. Unreal. Kim Seokjin just smiled at me. What.
I hastily nodded, praying to not explode because of my blood pressure. With only two chairs left, I chose the one opposite Hoseok because I was pretty sure that I wouldn't stay alive if I had the opportunity to look at Seokjin from up close. God, I was weird.
"Kookie-ah, lock your phone and sit down", Yoongi ordered his step-brother and the younger one obeyed.
"I was just texting Jimin", Jungkook explained and gave me a knowing look. What was he planning?
"Isn't he that friend of yours, Hayoon?", Yoongi asked me as he pulled up a spare chair.
I nodded, surprised that he remembered Chimchim "Yes, Park Jimin from my grade"
"Ah, I feel like you would get along with him very well, Hyung", Jungkook's smirk grew wider.
To be fair, if this were my friends, I'd probably act the same. But I was still busy with trying to form coherent thoughts.
"Yah, didn't Namjoon say he'd come over, too?", Hoseok had finished another piece of pizza and gulped down at least half a litre of sprite.
Seokjin nodded "Yeah, but I think he's still at work"
Whoever the hell that Namjoon-guy was. I decided to finally take some food as well and started munching on it in silence while the boys talked. I tuned out for a bit, fascinated by the way Seokjin's eyes crinkled with each smile. Due to the greasy pizza, he licked his lips after almost every bite. God, that was a heavenly sight. Aish, I should get a grip on myself.
"Nooo, I swear that I saw Jackson with her just last week! She can't be Joonie's girlfriend", Hoseok shook his head rapidly, their conversation having long continued.
"Who are you talking about?", I asked, finally having found some confidence.
Yoongi explained "Namjoon is a friend of ours, he skipped a class so he should be around your age, actually", he grinned at that thought.
"Maybe you know him from school council", Seokjin chimed in. As hard as I tried to remember anyone of the other students there, nothing clicked.
"Well, you probably know Jackson Wang", Jungkook tilted his head and I nodded. Yeah, he was the biggest social butterfly of our school, no, of entire Korea, knowing EVERYONE. He had even invited Jimin and me to his parties, way before I had the Tae-privilege.
"And the girl", Yoongi paused to roll his eyes "her name's Shin Jimin"
I immediately threw a look at Jungkook who burst into laughter.
"What's so funny?", Hoseok asked with furrowed brows.
"Uhm... she has a certain reputation in our grade", I worded it as nice as possible.
But Kookie – still dying of laughter – didn't hold back "She's a slut"
My eyes darted to Seokjin who raised an eyebrow at Jungkook's profanity.
"For example, she brags about having slept with Taehyung", the youngest giggled. His remark earned smirks from his hyungs.
But I couldn't smile. This was really a topic I'd rather avoid.
"Doesn't that son of a...", Hoseok started but caught Jin's gaze and didn't say the curse word out loud "Doesn't he have a girlfriend?", he corrected himself.
Jungkook looked at me, realizing that it might not be in my best interest to tell them of my relationship with Taehyung.
"Yeah, he does. But what was her name again?", Yoongi rubbed his temples to focus.
"Ah, last name was something with B", Hoseok started thinking about it as well and snapped his fingers after a few seconds "Boo Hayoon!"
My cheeks turned fiery red.
Seokjin shook his head "Don't be silly, that's Hayoon's full name", he smiled at me.
Oh shit. I was too panicked to feel the butterflies in my stomach.
"No, I'm sure", Hoseok frowned and mustered me.
"Hobi, that's a bit...", Yoongi tried to intervene but I couldn't stand this anymore.
"He's right", I mumbled.
"OH NO! I spilled my cola onto the table!", Jungkook hastily tried to turn the attention away from me, knocking his glass over but it was to no avail. The other three had their eyes fixed on me, I lowered my head.
They would have found out sooner or later. And I couldn't blame them for hating me. My connection to Jungkook's abuser was enough reason. Yoongi was the first to speak "I think it's better if you leave now"
