 ~ Hayoon POV ~

"I'm, like, freaking out", the wide grin from first period still hadn't left my face. Apart from having cried the entire weekend, I felt great.

Jimin mustered me, breaking his bread into little pieces and stuffing them into his mouth. "Doesn't this all seem a bit too good to be true?"

I frowned "No, Seokjin meant what he said!"

My best friends shrugged "I just remember how hurt you were TWO DAYS AGO; nobody wants that to happen again"

Maybe Jimin's carefulness was good, a counterpart for my naivety. His newly died orange hair fell onto his forehead in little curly pieces. Originally, I just wanted to change something about my appearance, distance myself from the person I used to be, the one who fell in love with Taehyung, but somehow Jimin ended up with a new style as well.

Jungkook, who had been relatively quiet, put his spoon down and cleared his throat "As far as I know, my brother's the only one still mad", his puppy eyes focused on the soup in front of him again. The sight really broke my heart, but I didn't know how to make this any less painful for him. Speaking to Yoongi didn't seem like a clever idea right now.

"Why don't you come to our restaurant, too?", I blurted out, looking at both of my friends, earning a confused look from Jimin.

"Since when would you ever give up the chance to be alone with Seokjin?", he teased, now ripping his piece of bread apart with force. I didn't know. Maybe the possibility of my daydreams finally coming true scared me. But there was a more prominent reason.

"He won't be alone. He specifically said something about 'a few more guests' at the restaurant", I explained, liking my own idea more and more by the minute.

That seemed enough to satisfy Jimin "Sure, not like I had any other plans anyway"

I looked at Jungkook. He was nothing at school like he was at home. The boy sitting next to me was reserved, shy and lifeless. But only two days ago, Jungkook had been the life of the party, gossiping and laughing with me.

Taehyung's fault.

A sigh escaped my lips, as Jimin bent across the table to flick Kookie's forehead "Anyone in there?"

The younger one flinched, as if he had been lost in his thoughts. He blinked a few times "I... I have a project to do"

"On your first day back?", I raised an eyebrow. He frantically nodded.

"Jungkook-ah, you know you can be honest with us?", Jimin's voice was calm, his worry was still noticeable though.

But the younger one only answered a quick "Of course", before fixating on his food again.

This didn't seem right at all, my stomach turned at the sight of Jungkook, he looked fragile and something was just off. Jimin seemed to think the same, but the more we asked, the less Jungkook answered. The ring of the bell snapped me out of my frustration, I chose to leave him alone if that was what he wanted. But during the rest of the school day, I couldn't help but feel uneasy.
