After the merciless shooting of Georgie, the drug gang fled from the building.
Captain James was instantly alerted to the commotion by the gunshot that echoed through the rickety and battered walls. Leading him and 2 section straight to where Georgie had been held captive; which was now where her lifeless body laid.
He sprinted in the direction of the gunfire and burst through the door urgently. When he first noticed the state Georgie was in, his heart skipped a beat - thinking he was too late. Immediately, he crouched by her side, placing his hand against her neutral, blood drained cheeks and grasping her limb hand.
"Georgie." He called, squeezing her gently.
He glanced at her. But she seemed cold and completely unconscious. Her usual bright and vibrant complexion now ghostly pale with her thin lips a gloomy grey.
"Please wake up, Georgie!" He croaked, tapping her on the shoulders as he tried to desperately wake her.
He was getting nowhere. Suddenly, a wave of emotion swept over him and he felt as though he couldn't pretend to be the strong Captain anymore. He had watched Elvis die in front of him and he couldn't bare to loose Georgie too - they had both battled on after Elvis' death by supporting each other. He knew he couldn't do it alone.
"GEORGIE! PLEASE! I CANT LOOSE YOU!" He cried despairingly through a voice which was cracking through emotion. He frantically shook her.

Slowly gaining consciousness, Georgie's eyes reeled back open; the room span like a giant twister through her terribly blurred vision, due to the water pooling in her eyes. She felt extremely disoriented and laid there trembling in fear. After a while, she felt a wave of calm sweep over her as she noticed James sitting beside her. His face was centimetres away from her; his usual sparkling dark brown eyes now broken and dull with tears building up in the corners. She wanted to shout out to him, but no words left her mouth. She was filled with utter confusion.
How had she managed to survive?
Instantaneously, James sat back in utter relief that Georgie was still alive. He ran his palm across his forehead before he transitioned back into the Captain that Georgie needed him to be.
"Welcome back, Lane." He smiled weakly. Attempting to take her pulse whilst shaking uncontrollably.
Then Ruby stepped forward with the medical kit as he began to gently cut her free from the ropes that anchored her to the chair. Meanwhile, James tried to reassure her that everything was going to be alright.
"I need to examine her for any injuries. She appears to have an immediate left chest wound with possible internal bleeding. Keep pressure on her chest until we can move her." Ruby briefed everyone on the procedure.
"3.....2......1......Move!"
Once Georgie was safely on the floor Captain James cut open the chest of her uniform to examine her. "Have you got any pain, Georgie?" He asked ripping open her uniform and delicately pressing on her abdomen and surrounding areas. When suddenly, he noticed something glistening in the sun, as his eyes clamped on to a shard of glass that was piercing into her skin.
"I think they attacked her with a glass object." James warned as he spotted small fragments embedded in her skin and a few clinging onto the fibres of her uniform.
