*Georgie's POV*

The following morning the sun had risen high in the sky. I watched the beams of sunlight creep in through the bedroom curtains and cast bright streaks up the walls. Hearing Alex leap out of bed from beside me, I closed my eyes for a bit longer. However, that didn't last long. I was abruptly disturbed as Alex forced the curtains wide open. I scrunched my eyes tightly shut as the sunlight filled the room. Slowly, opening my eyes again and sitting up, I was instantly blinded by the bright sphere of light as it sat proudly amongst the clouds. Once my eyes had adapted to the morning light and my vision had cleared, the figure of the most handsome man was bestowed upon me. "Good morning beautiful." Alex called sweetly, fastening his belt around his trousers. He smiled and continued to watch me whilst I wiped the sleep from my eyes, complained about it being too bright and ran my fingers through my tangly bed hair. Looking down at his watch he walked over to the bed, planting a kiss on my cheek. "Are you going to get up?" He asked me with a grin on his face as he stood next to the bed, now fully dressed in his uniform.

I stared into his attractive eyes as they glistened at me in the light. Then I snuggled deeper into the covers, pulling the duvet back over me. "Five more minutes." I mumbled sleepily, as I closed my eyes. Alex chuckled as he went to go and make breakfast.

I didn't think I had been asleep for that long - Alex burst into the room with quite a harsh tone. "Georgie. Get up we are going to be late." He wasn't joking this time. Startled, I rolled over to see my alarm clock '0620'.

Shit!

We were meant to be at work for 7am. I immediately got up as Alex already seemed very frustrated with me. I jumped out of bed and went into the bathroom; splashing water over my face to wake myself up, I quickly got dressed into my uniform and slipped my hair up into a bun.

7:40am:

Alex packed our bags into the boot of the car before jumping in the drivers seat. He seemed to change into work mode almost instantly; even just on the drive there. I grinned at him. "Last night was great." I said teasingly. But he didn't move a muscle, he kept his eyes firmly fixed on the road. "I'm glad." He replied seriously. I shuffled in my seat. "Have I done something wrong, Alex." I asked him frowning, as he had suddenly changed his tune. He turned his head and narrowed his eyes at me. "You haven't done anything." He clarified sharply, turning his attention back to the cars in front of him. Violently pushing his foot down on the breaks, the car came to a halt at a red light. "It just makes me look bad if I'm late." He growled, looking at the clock on the dashboard, which now read 6:59am. That comment annoyed me a little. Was he going to blame me if he had a bad reputation at work? I raised my eyebrows at him. "That's my fault is it?" I questioned, feeling a bit riled by his previous comment. He hit the steering wheel and breathed heavily. "Don't be like that Georgie." He responded sternly, shooting an angry glare in my direction. I decided to be quiet before he snapped at me. As a result, we both continued the journey in silence. That was probably for the best.

Suddenly, my phone rang as I swiped it off the dash board. "Hello." I answered, as Captain James' voice bellowed through the phone. "Are you on your way Georgie? You're late." He asked, half concerned and half annoyed at our punctuality. I immediately assured him that we should arrive there shortly - Alex would not be impressed that James had come asking for us, noting our lateness.

As I put the phone down Alex broke the silence. "And.." He looked me dead in the eyes, expecting me to willingly tell him everything. Huffing, he interrogated me. "Who was that on the phone?" He commanded, sounding very irritated. I originally ignored him. He aggressively swung the car around the corner, jolting me towards the door. "I asked you. Who was on the phone?" He spat, causing all of the memories of him as my nasty CO to come flooding back to me. I answered vaguely, turning my head away from him to look out the window. "It was Captain James.." He was behaving like a right dick. He turned his head to look at me, but I had totally turned away from him. "Right.. and he was asking why we are late?" His tone of voice had suddenly changed, from aggressive and intimidating to low and monotonous. You know. That tone when you were a kid and your parents are disappointed in you. That's the tone he had. I mumbled under my breath. "Correct."
