The following morning Georgie sat on her bed deep in thought. "It's when special forces get their target Lane" She couldn't stop thinking about what that meant. Peanuts had whispered "Code Red" down his radio when they realised that the driver of the van was Bones - who they had critically injured. Captain McClyde. Their target.
What on earth was going on?

As part of her schedule Georgie got up and had breakfast before taking some to Bones and caring for him in the hospital. However, she looked suspiciously at him after everything she had found out. She didn't know whether to ask him what was going on or just pretend she didn't know.

"Good morning Lane how are you?" he asked as she changed the bandage around his chest. "Morning I'm good thanks you?" Georgie replied making small conversation, which seemed forced and awkward because she was resisting the urge to interrogate him with hundreds of questions.

A while later, Captain James led a PT session to ensure his section kept up their army physique. 2 section were all racing to complete the obstacle course in the fastest time "Last one past me is on latrine clean!" Captain James hollered to bring out the competitive side in them all. Monk reached the monkey bars first and began to show off his enormous biceps by doing pull ups - the rest of the section were far behind him. As they reached the last obstacle, a rope swing before the sprint to the finish, everyone waited for each other and linked arms to run past Captain James all at the same time. James chuckled "Very clever 2 section!" They thought they had got away with it until James announced they were all on latrine clean for trying to outsmart their Captain.

The day after a major mission was always more relaxed, 2 section spent the day doing physical training and honing in on their skills should they be needed for another important mission. Captain James had noticed that Lane wasn't herself; she was usually bubbly and cheerful but today she seemed reserved and quiet. Whilst the rest of 2 section amused themselves kicking a football about James decided to go and speak to her, as she was sat alone in her tent. Normally she would be out there, cheering on her team or mocking their skills.

"Lane?" James called.
"Yes boss" she replied opening the tent and letting him step inside.
"Is everything alright?" He put his hand on her shoulder and lowered his tone to show that he cared about her.
"Everything is fine boss" She answered staring deeply at the floor.
Captain James quickly realised that Lane didn't want to talk "well if you need me I'm here, you know that don't you?" She nodded and James left her to be alone with her thoughts once again.

That night Lane tossed and turned in her bed. Everything rushed through her mind like a tornado twisting her thoughts. Bones was the target and they knew they were shooting at him. Had he switched sides after all?

As she laid awake in her bed, trying to sleep, she heard mumbled voices from outside her tent. She rolled over to see the time 24:00, she knew that no one was ever up at that time so she went to investigate. She jumped out of bed and grabbed a torch before she left; the voices were coming from the ops tent, which was glowing brightly from the lights inside. She quietly snuck over hearing the voices get louder and deeper as she approached it.

Anxiously, she peered into the tent, from the outside she saw Captain James and Special forces all gathered around together looking at a large flip chart that stood proud in the middle of the tent. To get a better view, Georgie nervously shuffled her position whilst still trying not to make any noise. The chart contained photographs of the insurgents known to be involved with the deal of explosives and alongside them was a photo of Captain McClyde. However, he had a thick red cross plastered across his face. She was shocked to see plans which confirmed her fears - shooting Bones was intentional and planned.

All of a sudden, Georgie jumped in panic, she saw Captain James turn around and start to head out of the tent. As fast as her legs could carry her, she sprinted around the side to avoid being spotted as James marched out closely followed by the Paras. Once they had marched off Georgie couldn't help herself as she snuck inside to investigate further..
