5am - the day after the wedding:
This is not how the happiest day of their lives should have ended.
They should be tucked up in bed together in their married quarters and getting ready to jet off for their honeymoon - instead they are back in the bleak confined walls of a hospital ward.
Staring blankly around the room, they both had no words to say to each other. In the corner of the room, James was laying comatose in his hospital bed. He had significant injuries and no one knew if he would ever come out and be the same again.
They couldn't and didn't want to believe that their wedding night had ended like this.
Moments later, Molly arrived. She was very pale and clammy but Georgie couldn't work out if this was because she was heavily pregnant or the stress of everything. She was still wearing her pyjamas with the top barely covering her bump.
"Have my seat, Molly." Alex offered leaping up, helping her to sit down and then positioning himself against the wall.
"Maybe we should give her some time alone." Georgie whispered, quickly leaving the room as she was drowned in a wave of emotion, she burst out crying.
Alex got them both a coffee as they made their way to a small café. Due to it being unsociable hours the lights in the café were off and the shutters tightly bolted down. But, this didn't stop Georgie and Alex pulling up a chair around one of the tables and sitting down.
"Im sorry, Georgie." Alex spoke rubbing her back as she wept inconsolably. Still wearing his after party clothes, he unbuttoned his waist coat and wrapped it around Georgie whilst she sat hunched over her coffee, shaking vigorously in sorrow.
"It's not your fault." She sobbed, leaning into him. He cradled her head against his chest as he gently kissed her hair.
After taking a break and allowing Molly to have some private time alone, the McClydes walked back into James' room. Immediately, Georgie threw a hug around Molly as they both stood staring at James in his state of stupor. There wasn't a dry eye in the room - even Alex had tears in his eyes, despite his previous hostility towards James.
When suddenly, Molly burst out screaming in pain and collapsed in a heap on the floor. A doctor passing in the corridor came running in to help. Piercing screams from Molly had alerted everyone in the hallway and a number of medical personnel arrived instantly, crowding around her.
"Her waters have broken!" One of the nurses cried as they desperately tried to lift her onto a wheel chair and get her to the maternity ward.
"She's going into labour!"
As Molly was taken away by the midwifes and nurses, Georgie grasped James' cold hands and clamped them between hers. "You're going to have a beautiful daughter when you wake up." Georgie spoke softly. Sadly, the only reply she got was another monotone bleep from his heart monitor reminding her that despite his lamented appearance, there was still a spark of life inside him.

Brazenly, 2 section came marching down the corridor; inconsiderate of anyone else, shouting loudly and laughing disrespectfully. Standing in the doorway as they approached, Alex towered over them like a security guard, preventing them from entering.
"We are here to see the boss!" Fingers shouted.
Alex scowled at how discourteous they were being. "It's not appropriate for you to see him right now." He spoke deeply, gesturing for them to leave.
"We want to make sure he is alright." Monk butted in, attempting to push his way past Alex.
Georgie stepped forward with a red and tear stained face.
