The next day, after a trial I had early in the morning, I walk into my office, close the door, leave my briefcase on the couch and then sit on my chair. As I pull my chair forward in order to get closer to my office, I see an envelope on it. I take it on my hands and flip it over to see if it has a name on it. When I see it's blank, I open it and take the papers it has in it in my hands. First it's a folded one saying OPEN FIRST so I open it

Baby, good morning, I hope the trial went well. On the next papers, it's a series of some medical exams I'd like u to do. Don't get scared, it's just a precaution. I had mine a month ago,so I'm ok. I'm sure u have questions so feel free to call me!

After reading the letter, I see the other papers and I immediately call her

"I don't like that one! Basically, I don't like the clothes, bring me another outfit, thanks..."I hear her saying as she picks it up

"Alex?"I ask when she pauses

"Hey boo! Sorry, I'm at the photoshoot and my stylist is trash...how was the trial?" She asks me naturally

"I won..."

"I had no doubt,babe...congrats!"

"Thank u, but I called u about the medical exams..."

"Oh,yeah! What's up?"

"Well, first, u caught me by surprise; none of my exes had ever asked me to do this. Second, they're like...a lot!"

"I know they're a lot, trust me, I pay for them every 6 months, but, as I told u in the letter, it's just a precaution!And since we've been intimate without contraception, I think it'd be better if we were checked out...and since I was checked a month ago..."

"Alex, I haven't been intimate with anyone for the past 10 months, I think that if I had caught something, I'd know..."

"Don't be so sure! Sometimes the symptoms don't show before it's too late...and, of course, I don't believe u'd be so naive to have sex with some random girl in a bar without a condom,but accidents happen..."

"Don't u think we should discuss this face to face?"

"I don't think it's something that serious. Everyone should be checked out every 6 months!"

"Yes,but now I feel...weird..."

"I get it and I'm sorry, but I need to feel safe...again, I trust u, but u never know...and I really hate condoms, they're messier than the actual secx, so please...we could go together if u want!"

'"I don't know,Alex, I'll have to process it..."

"It's ok, I understand..."

"Thank u..."

"Don't mention it! Just let me know, cause I found some very nice lingerie and I'd like u to see it..."She says in a scandalous voice, making me smirk

"Don't distract me!"I say trying to sound strict

"I'm sorry..."She says,sounding like a little girl

"Shit,u're good... well, want me to come and get u when I'm off and go to my place to talk about the tests?"

"I'd love that!"

"Ok, then, I'll be at Annalise's at around 6,ok?"

"Sounds good, I'll see u then..." She answers and after saying 'bye' we end the call...

In the afternoon

I got Alex from Annalise's and now we're in my house. We're sitting on the couch and Alex has Tiff on her lap purring
