Betty's POV

*Time pass, the lunch*

I sigh, walking into the cafeteria and seeing everyone eating. I go to one table, that is empty and sit down. I pull out a book and start reading it, earphones on.

I can hear the chair next to me moving. I don't even have to guess, who it is.

I sigh, put my book on the table and look at him. I leave my earphones in though.

"I can't talk with you," I say and then look away from his beautiful eyes.

He smirks and pulls out my left earphone, though he is sitting on my right. I smirk at him and raise my eyebrows as he puts it into his ear.

"We don't have to talk," he says and eats one frie, that is in front of him.

I sigh, looking at all of his food. I can feel my stomigh hurting me, against my back.

He touches my hair. I blush, looking into his eyes as he's fondling it softly. The touch makes my body shiver.

"Can't you take it off?" he asks, touching my hairband.

I sigh and look at him, listening to love songs that I literally always listen to. I pull the earphones out of our ears.

"Please don't talk to me," I say sadly.

"Why not?" he asks sadly, still fondling my hair, what is in ponytail.

I sigh and look at the table while talking, "When someone wants to be my friend, my siblings destroy it," I say sadly.

He raises my head up and I look at him sadly. His touch is so good on my head. Fuck why am I in love with him?

"Do they hurt you like your dad?" he asks, going back to fondling my hair.

I sigh, "No. They'd hurt you," I say.

He laughs, "Don't worry about me. I can stand up for myself, you know," he says.

I sigh, "No. They'd literally mske your life hell," I say.

"You don't know, who I am.. That's why you think so," he says, going back to fondling my hair.

"That's true.. What's your name?" I smirk.

He chuckles, "Jughead," he says. I smile and nod.

"Well, Jughead," I say, "Who are you then?" I ask.

"The serpent prince," he says.

I furrow my eyebrows, "Like snakes?" I ask.

He chuckles and nods. He turnd hid back on me and I read his jacket.

"Southside serpents?" I ask.

He turns back and keeps fondlikg my hair, "Yeah," he says, "It's like a gang. Everyone thinks that we're dangerous and deal drugs and stuff," he says.

I chuckle, "You? A boy who comes and sits next to a loner weirdo girl, and starts fondling her hair?" I smirk. He smirks and nods. I chuckle. I don't know, when was the last time I laughed.

"And what are you really then?" I ask.

"A family," he says. I smile at that, "Look at them," he says and looks at one table of people all in these jackets. I can see Toni and the read headed boy and many many others. Most of them are smirking at us.

I smile and look back at him, he takes a bite from his burger. I sigh and look back at the table, remembering the pain.

"Aren't you hungry?" he asks concerned, probably getting what I'm thinking.
