Darry spat and flushed the toilet after some time. He backed up and leant against the tub placed behind him in the small bathroom. He was silently determining weather or not he was finished for the day. He also wondered if eggs were a trigger for his morning sickness, he had heard about certain foods doing that. Maybe eggs was it? Darry mentally groaned and decided to stop thinking too hard in an attempt to rid of the headache he had given himself.

While Darry was lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice Soda handing him a glass of water. He slowly took it from Soda's grasp and shakily held it to his lips. He didn't know if he would just throw that up or not.

"Do you think you can drink some water, just a little?" Soda cooed, a gentle and supporting hand on Darry's broad and muscular shoulder. Darry softly nodded his head, taking gradual sips of the clear liquid. As he topped off the glass, Darry was glad to notice the morning sickness had worn off until later that night or early the next morning. He couldn't help but still feel sick about something. But this wouldn't end up with Darry hunched over a toilet. This would end with Darry having a panic attack if he didn't calm down.

Now, his stomach churned in anxiety rather than the nausea. His cover was officially blown. He left his boyfriend in hiding, Dally, to worry about him. Darry left his brothers worried for his health and well being. He just left the whole gang worried about him. Darry couldn't help but feel slightly guilty about it. He hated lying, always has and always will. Pony decided to break the silence filling the bathroom.

"You okay, Darry? You don't seem sick so I don't know why you'd be blowin' chunks." Pony stated. He was right. The redness around Darry's eyes from crying last night faded until it was unnoticed and forgotten, the dark circles under his eyes were now very light and faded, they looked like the usual from his job in roofing. The tired look on his face lessened to the usual look as well. All that remained was the sad glint in his usual cold and hard eyes. Darry sighed heavily. He needed to come up with an excuse, and fast.

"Just stress, I guess." He shrugged. He did hate to lie, but this answer wasn't an entire lie. His boss had been harder on him and his coworkers, the bills came in and needed to be payed quickly, and social services would be visiting again soon. It all left more things to do and stress about. Darry walked out of the bathroom in his room, out and through the hallway, into the kitchen.

He passed the gang and grabbed an apple from it's designated basket and quickly tied on his work boots. He headed towards the front door and accidentally tracked dirt through the house from the level of dirt caked onto them. Darry'd have to clean that later. As he got ready to leave for his shift, he felt multiple pairs of eyes on him. Darry avoided them.

"I'm working the long shift again today, I wait up." He heard the gang and his brothers chorus wary goodbyes and hurried to leave. With a final glance at everyone, Darry closed the door and made his way down the steps. He walked under the summer sun towards his old pickup and climbed in. He was already dreading the day ahead.

************

Darry trudged through the front door late at night, the heavy feeling of exhaustion weighing him down. The day normally drained his energy, but today something else drained his energy with it. And that something would have to cared for in about 8 months time. He untied his work boots before slipping them off and set them to the side. He was far too tired to care where they were at the moment.

As he took off his shoes, his back was turned to his secret lover, Dallas. Dally stood and hugged Darry from behind, kissing Darry's neck only to find his sweet spot instantly. He turned Darry around and kissed his lips to stifle the moan emitting from his parted mouth. They kept their lips connected as they stumbled towards the couch. It was getting heated quick, too quick for Darry's tired brain to process. Darry pulled away to breathe, and hesitated. Dallas noticed his hesitation and frowned, he knew something wasn't right with him. They moved so the two were next to each other on the couch and began to cuddle. Darry kept his head nuzzled in Dally's chest and listened to his lover's beating heart.
