Life is beyond crazy in more than 1 way, I mean it. The twins are now 5 months old and Darry and I are starting to plan the wedding more, we're thinking of having a fall wedding. We're even thinking of moving to a new house for the room when the twins get older and if we have anymore future children. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around it sometimes.

There're other things I've noticed, like that Darry's getting sick in the mornings again. It's worse than when he was pregnant with the twins which makes me think he's sick, but I've also heard some people have worse morning sickness during the second pregnancy. If he was pregnant again I don't know how we'd do it. Sometimes I don't know anymore.

                          ************

Darry flipped the calendar to January, it was now 1969. Again, Darry was the only one home with the twins. Dally, Soda, Steve, Pony, Two-Bit were at their jobs, Johnny was at his job at Buck's. While they were doing their jobs, Darry watched the twins and waited for the ice to melt so he could get back to work. He started to work again when the twins were 3 months in November and stopped when it began to snow in early December.

He was becoming very worried for his health. Darry noticed he was throwing up in the mornings again and he noticed his stomach was bloating. He assumed it was from getting sick so often, but deep down he knew what it was. Just about a month ago Darry and Dally spent time together for 2 days away from the twins while they spent time with the gang and their uncles, something they all needed. 1 thing lead to another and now Darry had a feeling he needed a test. And soon.

Darry didn't know who to ask, most of the people he knew would ask tons of questions and tell Dally what was going on. Darry didn't want that, he didn't want to worry Dally if he wasn't pregnant again and if he was Dally would be the first to know the results. He did however, know he could trust Soda when it came to things. If the situation was important enough Soda wouldn't tell, but if it was life or death Darry was the first to know from, you guessed it, Soda.

Thankfully, the twins were napping and these hours weren't the busiest at the Dx. Darry walked across the living room to the phone and dialed the number to the Dx. He anxiously waited as the phone rang, after the 4th ring he heard Soda answer.

"Dx, What can I do fr' ya?" Soda said, his cheery tone thick. Darry took a deep breath, he in a way didn't want to know if he was pregnant again, but he'd know if he was with or without the test in a few short months.

"Hey, Soda. It's Darry, listen I need you to get a pregnancy test for me." Darry said, he figured being blunt was better than stalling. Silence was the only thing heard from the other end. He began to worry.

"Soda, you there?" Darry questioned, he feared Soda was telling someone. He hoped he wasn't but you can never know when it comes to Sodapop Patrick Curtis.

"Hm? Oh ya, I'm here. I should be able to get ya one after my shift. I'm guessing you don't want me to say anything until you tell Dally, right?" Soda had turned it into a question he knew Darry would ask, or more like beg in the Darry way.

"Exactly, thanks Soda." Darry said. He was beyond thankful for his brothers to be there for him.

"You're welcome, big brother. Take care." Soda responded. The line went dead before Darry could say anything else. Darry set the phone back onto the cradle and tended to the twins before he made a late lunch. He was too nervous to eat a whole lot, he was still debating if he really wanted to know the answer to his suspicions. He wasn't sure about lots of things.

************

The clock had struck 9 o'clock in the evening for a few moments until the rest of the gang had arrived home from their jobs. Soda being the last. When he did, Soda made a bee line into the kitchen. No one thought anything of it since Soda was usually starving after the long shifts like today had been. Darry felt slightly disappointed when he saw Soda wasn't carrying anything extra when he arrived home.

'Maybe he got caught up in something...' Darry thought. He made his way from his spot on the couch to the kitchen meeting his younger brother leaning against the wall.

"Did you get it?" He asked quietly.

While reaching in his jeans pocket, he spoke. "Ya, got it on my lunch break." He stated. Soda handed the pregnancy test to his older brother before grabbing a slice of chocolate cake out of the ice box and joining the rest of the gang in the living room.

Darry stuffed the rectangular box into his pocket and used the twins as an excuse to leave the room. He just then realized how having a baby can save you in situations. The twins needed to be fed and conveniently his and Dally's bedroom was right next to the nursery.

As the door to the nursery slightly creaked open, the sounds of soft cries and whimpers were heard. Darry took action and lifted his son who was crying the hardest out of his crib.

"Oh...it's okay..." He said, slightly bouncing to help calm Dash as best as he could. As he did, Darry slowly bounce-walked to the rocking chair and sat down to give him a feed. The cries lessened as Dash latched on, now only the light cries of his sister could be heard. The boy pulled his son slightly away from his chest when he was finished and made his way back to his baby's crib.

Darry made sure Dash was falling asleep before he tended to his daughter, now rocking her in his arms to calm her. He sat in the rocking chair and continued to lightly rock as he pulled Daisy closer to his chest. Her cries seized as she began to eat, the room now filled with a relieved silence.

Once Daisy had finished, Darry pulled down his shirt and changed her diaper as well before laying Daisy back in her crib. He made sure both babies were asleep before he swiftly walked down the hallway to his room. Darry opened the door slowly, thankful it hadn't creaked and hid the test in the bottom drawer of his nightstand.

He knew the safest time to do it was when he was home alone. Darry softly shut the door behind him and walked silently back into the living room to join the rest of the gang and his brothers. That night, Darry hadn't gotten much sleep. His thoughts kept him awake.

'If I am pregnant than how can I keep up with the twins when they're older? What if I have another set of twins? What if they aren't healthy because it so soon?' Darry had thought like that the entire night, only getting a few hours of sleep.
