One of the many things people don't realize after someone has a baby is how much their life changes, they can become a whole different person. I had a brief idea of what that was like. I remember when I was 6 and Pony was a few weeks old, Mom and Dad were crazy busy. Between dealing with a crazy and energetic 4 year old Sodapop, a rambunctious 6 year old version of myself and a fussy baby Ponyboy they were always doing something.
Before, I didn't get why they were so busy, or why they didn't always seem the most awake when they were awake. But now that I have kids, I can understand everything. I understand why they were so busy, why they were tired a lot, why sometimes you were just better off keeping your mouth shut and not ask a million questions. I get all of it, and now that I have kids I can finally relate to them.

Darry stood over his babies cribs in the dimly light nursery, a small smile worn on his face. He had finally settled them down after another long period of fussiness and crying. Not wanting to wake them up on accident, Darry quietly left the room careful not to step on the squeaky spot in front of the door.
Meanwhile, Dally laid half asleep half awake in the bed. He opened his eyes a sliver to check the time. Through the darkness he read the clock. 2:34 AM. That meant Dally had only somewhere around 5 hours to sleep until he had to get up for work. He sat up and waited for Darry while he fed their children, the blonde had taken care of their diapers almost half an hour beforehand. He was beyond tired but waited for his lover anyway.
His attention went to the door as it slowly opened to avoid creaking, revealing a tired faced Darry. Dally sympathetically smiled at him, noticing the dark circles underneath his teal eyes and how disheveled his dark brown hair was from the lack of sleep. He himself had dark circles underneath his ice blue and messy blonde hair, but they weren't nearly as bad as Darry's.
"Hey..." He said softly, cautious about his volume. The last thing the 2 wanted was to wake the twins back up after they finally went back to sleep.
"Hey." Darry replied, a small smile still on his face. He tiredly crawled underneath the blankets and cuddled into Dally's side almost immediately, the comforting feeling lulling him to sleep. Dally wrapped his arms around the older man and nuzzled his face into the top of Darry's head, taking in the scent.
The couple slowly drifted off, both mentally preparing to wake up in a few hours or less.

*Rrrriiiiiiiiiinnnggg-*
Dally quickly took action to turn off the alarm. He sat still for a moment determining weather or not the alarm woke the twins. The silence sent relief throughout his body, quickly he got out of bed and gathered his work clothes. Dally walked through the bedroom into the bathroom attached and showered.
A few moments later Dally walked out of the bathroom ruffling his hair with a towel before he combed it back without grease. He turned around facing a sleeping Darry, knowing he needed the sleep after the previous night they went through he didn't bother to wake him. Dally knelt down and kissed his lover on the forehead.
"Bye, Darry. I love you." He said. Dally pecked his lips once more and stood back up. He walked around the bed and made sure to close the door softly behind him. Walking down the stairs, he could smell the usual eggs and bacon cooking from the kitchen.
Ever since Darry had the twins he's despised eggs, nothing else but eggs. Dally didn't know weather is was from the morning sickness he experienced during pregnancy or the fact that a person's taste can change during and after pregnancy, Dally didn't know which was the main cause but he knew both of them were.
