Chris's POV

Aaron burst into my room yelling, "CHHRRISSS,"

"What?" I groaned, burying my head under the pillow. The place was so damn boring without Kenny.

"I'm bored," he said bluntly.

"Well so am I." I snapped.

He smirked. "Sucks to be without your girl, doesn't it?"

"Yup." I agreed.

"Wonder what they're doing now?" he wondered.

"Who knows? Girl stuff probably."

When I glanced at Aaron, my eyebrow quirked when I saw him grinning like a madman.

"Maybe we should find out..."

I rolled my eyes.

Great. Looks like were gonna crash your slumber party. Sorry Cookie.

"Is bringing a flashlight really necessary?" I asked Aaron.

"What? We could scare them." he snickered, demonstrating his 'scary face' by shining the white light under his chin.

"Gee, I'm absolutely shaking Aaron." I said sarcastically.

"Hey, not my fault the badass isn't scared of ghosts."

We knew that Hannah's parents were away for the week, so Aaron had no problem picking the lock. We got in and carefully tiptoed up the stairs.

He stopped by Hannah's door, but his hand froze on the doorknob.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

When I got closer, I stopped dead in my tracks. I could hear someone-Hannah?-sobbing and another voice-Kenny-saying something in a comforting voice.

Shit. We must've picked the wrong time.

Aaron had this weird look on his face, and he carefully moved back.

The floor creaked.

The voices stopped.

In a few seconds, the door slammed open.

"Chris?"

Fuck. We got caught.

Aaron's POV

Kenny looked at Chris with a questioning eyebrow raised. Then she turned to me.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"Eh heh...surprise," I said lamely.

Kenny's lip twitched.

I looked past her and saw Hannah curled up into her bed, her face was tear-streaked and when she saw me, the color drained from her face.

I quickly moved to her side. "Babe, what's wrong?"

She flinched when I touched her, and I pulled my hand back, confused.

"What...did I do something wrong?"

Hannah shook her head and buried her face in a pillow, her body shaking.

"Aaron...you guys need to talk." Kenny said, looking at me dead in the eye. The way she stared at me was kind of scary, like she was testing me.

I nodded and sat beside Hannah. The door closed behind me, and I heard Kenny and Chris's hushed voices talking in the hallway. I waited until their footsteps faded away.

"Hannah? Babe, talk to me." I moved closer and wrapped my arms around her.

She clutched the pillow tightly and refused to look up.

"Please," I begged. "You can tell me anything."

At first I couldn't hear it. Her voice was muffled and barely audible.

But I heard it the second time.

"I-m pr-regnant..."

My hand stopped on her hair, and I felt her tremble furiously.

Kenny's POV

I leaned back into Chris's chest, and he wrapped his arms around me.

"So she's really pregnant?" he asked.

I nodded mutely. "Do you think Aaron's going to leave her?"

"No...it's unlikely. I don't-I don't think so."

"You hesitated."

"Cookie, I'm not sure." he kissed my temple.

"What if I was the one who was pregnant? Would you leave me?"

"No," he answered reflexively. "Never."

"Even if I was an ugly hairy 800 pound gorilla?" I tested.

"Well..."

I slapped him playfully, and he laughed.

"Just kidding, Cookie. I wouldn't leave you no matter what. Even if you were pregnant with my triplets----or even someone else's. I will never, ever leave you." he paused and added, "And you are far from a 800 pound gorilla."

"Ugly hairy gorilla." I corrected.

He smiled and I kissed his cheek, brushing my lips on the corner of his mouth. His arms tightened around me, and I rested my head on his shoulder.

Aaron's POV

A thousand thoughts ran through my head. Emotions shifting from confusion, to shock, to terror...

But I looked at Hannah, and all my doubts washed away. She the only girl I ever truly loved. The only one who accepted me even though I used to be a druggie and a poor boy with a bad reputation.

Then I became happy...overwhelmed. Excited, even.

We were going to be parents. She was going to have my baby.

My baby.

I pulled her close and hugged her tightly. "Babe, don't cry."

She hiccupped. "You-You're not mad?"

"No. Why should I?" I lifted her chin up and smiled. "Hannah, I'm ecstatic. I love you, and maybe it isn't the right time, but...it's bound to happen sooner or later, isn't it?"

Tears filled her eyes. But she hugged me and cried in my chest.

I rubbed her stomach and smiled, thinking of the baby. Hannah relaxed in my arms, and she closed her eyes.

"Thank you," she whispered.

I kissed her lips, trailing down to her neck, and finally to her stomach.

Our baby.
