Chris's POV
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please buckle your seatbelts, we are about to land, in London Heathrow airport."
I sighed heavily as I looked out the window, not even bothering to buckle my seatbelt.
"Sir, would you please--" the stewardess stopped talking, and her eyes widened as she stared me over, practically eyeballing me.
"Yes?" I said.
"Um, y-you're seatbelt..." she mumbled.
I smirked. "Oh, my bad. But it seems like I've forgotten how to do it. Would you mind taking care of that for me?"
Her eyes traveled down. "Um, sure," she said, giggling slightly. She reached over and buckled my seatbelt, slower than necessary.
"Thanks," I said, flashing a brilliant smile. I took a hundred dollar bill from my money clip and inserted it in her pocket. My hand brushed up against her hip.
She giggled.
I inwardly rolled my eyes. Girls.
I stepped out of the plane, carrying nothing but my duffel bag. I was here because my father sent me to deliver something to one of his clients. He's pretty busy, and claimed that I had nothing more to do but mope around and drink and stuff just because K---because someone left.
Or was taken away.
"Calm down," a woman behind me chuckled.
A sweet voice giggled. Then I felt someone bump against my back.
"Oh, sorry." the voice said.
I was too wrapped up in my thoughts to even recognize the voice, so I ignored it and walked off as soon as the line of traffic was up.

Kenny's POV
"Oh my gosh, this is SO cool!" I exclaimed.
Leigh chuckled. "Calm down,"
I was jumping up and down on my toes and accidentally stumbled over my own two feet. I felt my forehead hit something.
When I looked up, it was a guy, who was facing my back.
"Oh, sorry." I said in a small voice. He had an intimidating figure from the back.
Just then, my heart started thumping erratically for no reason.
He looked...kind of familiar.
Have I seen him before?
The guy ignored me as he walked off briskly, when the line was gone. I handed the headphones to the stewardess, and we went on our own.
"So, who wants to eat?"
Thoughts about the guy completely disappeared.
"ME!" I yelled.
And just like that, the airplane incident was forgotten.
****
"Ta-da!" Leigh said, throwing the door to my new room open.
"Holy shit! I love it!" I exclaimed. The room was painted a dark navy blue, with a black comforter, sheets, and pillow cases. There was a fluffy black rug on the floor. The wood interior was mahogany, and corkboards were all over the wall near my desk.
Leigh beamed. "I thought you would."
"Thanks, Leigh." I said, hugging her. Then I hugged Jerry, who smiled.
"We'll leave you here to get settled, okay?" Leigh said.
"Sure." I nodded.
They closed the door, and I looked around me again, amazed. This place was beautiful! Not only that, but Leigh and Jerry were madly rich. They had a huge mansion on a beautiful street here in London. It's amazing.
I went over to my balcony and threw it open. My smile grew bigger as I admired the view. It overlooked a park, where little kids were playing.
I unzipped my duffel and took out the few clothes I had left. I took them to the huge bedroom-sized closet and placed it in one shelf. It was empty as hell.
After I finished my short unpacking, I had a shower and then changed into some clean clothes. I was jet lagged, but I wanted to go out a little.
"Kenny!" Leigh said. "I almost forgot to tell you--we have to go shopping."
Was is strange that I was thinking of the same thing?
"Gee, you must be a psychic." I joked.
Leigh laughed. "No, it's just that, I was wondering about your bag. You possibly can't have enough clothes to fill your wardrobe!"
"I have to fill it?"
"Of course you do!" she exclaimed. "Tomorrow, we are going shopping."
I guess it was settled, then.
******
I went shopping with Leigh the next day. She took me to a bunch of stores, and we basically robbed them of all the good clothes. The chauffer had to stuff all of our packages in the limo.
I know--they rode in a frickin' limo!
"Leigh, are you sure you haven't maxed your card out, yet?"
She laughed and proudly held up the credit card. "Nope. Not even close."
We stopped by an optical store next. Leigh and I tried on a bunch of shades, and just went silly. It's strange how she acted more like my best friend than my mom. She even looked young enough the pull it off. She told me yesterday that she was only 25 years old, and Jerry was 27.
Unbelievably young, huh?
She and Jerry had been dating since high school. Jerry was the son of a rich and famous businessman, so Jerry had been in the family burden--business ..since he was 17, since his parents expected him to take over. They got married when Jerry was 21, and they found out that Leigh couldn't get pregnant. So they decided to adopt.
That's where I come in. Leigh's always wanted to have a teenage daughter, since she would like to "relive" her high school moments.
"So, you're a senior, aren't you?" she asked yesterday.
I shrugged. "I guess so."
Leigh raised an eyebrow.
"I don't really know," I sighed. "I never finished school."
"I see," she said. Sensing the tension around me, she dropped the subject.
I looked at myself in the mirror, grinning foolishly as I tried on a pair of reflective purple shades.
"Those look good," Leigh commented.
"Thanks." I said.
We paid for the shades, then we went on our way.
"We're not done just yet," Leigh said.
I groaned, and she just laughed.
Wow, this will be exhausting.
