Chris's POV

Ugh, god! Why was I such a fucking idiot?!

I burst into the house. "Where's Kenny?" I asked. My mom was sitting on the couch, her face buried into my father's shoulder.

"Mom?" I said, panicking. "Dad, what's wrong?"

My dad shook his head, a tear slipping down his cheek. "Kenny's...gone, Chris." he said, his voice cracking. "They took her away."

Kenny's POV

I leaned my head against the window of the cruiser. I opened my bleary eyes and looked at the clock.

12 midnight.

Happy birthday, to me.

Tears slipped down my cheek, and I didn't even stop them. I closed my eyes and let them down freely. Music was blasting in my ears.

I had to accept the fact that I would never see Chris again.

It was the only way to let him go.

Is the way, is this the way it ends?

Am I the fool, am i a victim?

I'd rather know

You'd rather kiss him good night

Tonight, I'm blinded,

I try, I tried,

Is this the way it ends...

(Kenny's POV)

[One month later]

"I can't believe he isn't talking to us!" Hannah complained. "What is wrong with him?"

I shrugged, but every time I looked at Chris, I couldn't decide whether I wanted to hug him...or kick his stupid ass.

He's been hanging out with Rozlyn Rowe ever since I started hanging out with his friends. (who are my friends, too)

Rozlyn happens to be one of those girls. You know--the popular girl that every school has. Sweet like a marshmallow on the outside, a vicious predator on the inside.

Come to think of it, she and Addie would make fantastic friends.

The guys were in detention...for doing something I'd rather not mention. So it was just me, Hannah and Charlotte. It felt kind of empty without the guys, but even emptier without Chris.

A few tables from us, I heard a loud giggle, followed by, "Ohhh, Chris."

Charlotte made a gagging sound. "Gross. Since when does Chris hang out with that Ho?"

"Since last month." I muttered, popping a French fry into my mouth.

As if on cue, someone's phone started ringing.

Don't trust a ho, never trust a ho, won't trust a ho, cause the ho won't trust me.

Charlotte and Hannah giggled.

I just leaned back on my chair and sighed. "How ironic."

Chris's POV

I was telling Rozlyn to get off my lap, but she just threw her head back and giggled obnoxiously, as if it were the funniest thing in the world.

Don't Trust Me but 3OH!3 started ringing from our table. Jase answered it and walked away. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Hannah and Charlotte giggling, while staring at us. They probably heard the ring tone.

And it seriously applied to me now.

"How ironic." I heard Kenny mutter. I tried not to smile, but Rozlyn forced her lips back on mine.

I wanted to gag. How much more of this could I take before I get down on my knees and beg Kenny to forgive me?
