He looked at me, his arms wrapped around my waist with that smile I always adored. He kissed my forehead, "Please never let me leave you..." he said softly as he caressed my hair. I felt his finger tangle with my hair as I had my arms wrapped around his neck as my face was rested against his chest.
I never wanted to let him go, I felt so much better in his arms. I felt safe, warm, and happy.
I just than realized he was with that other girl, I sighed softly. "Aidan..." I said as he held me gently yet tightly he said, "Yes baby?..." My heart fluttered when he called me that as I said, "What about the other girl that kissed your cheek....?" He chuckled and said, "She's just a friend who liked me but I was with you....and I'll let her know we're together hopefully she gets the hint..."
We later went back to his place. We talked through everything. He explained what he has been through the past few days.
With the way we were talking I felt like I was going to be okay again. I soon had to go home. I left with a kiss on his cheek. It was dark, but cloudy. I walked home seeing the light on in the house.
I sighed, I made my way into the house. My mom was on the couch, shockingly the house was okay and clean. I closed the door and she looked at me.
"Where were you?" She asked, I sighed but said "Aidan's place.."
My mom gave me a weird look as she examined me, "You look like a mess go change." I looked at her and I said "I should say the same to you." I walked off to my room sighing. I closed the door and laid on my bed.
My mom burst into my room and she looked pissed. "Why the fuck are you so damn difficult Anjelic?" I got up and looked at her. "Why do you have to be so rude and such a disappointment?" I saw the way she started getting angry with me. "All I ever done was try to make you perfect Anjelic."
I stood up, "Perfect!" I laughed at my mother, "That's all you wanted, you cared about what people thought of us. How people presented you. You never though of how we felt as a family." I felt my anger build, "You never once asked if we wanted to do it, putting me in ridiculous pageants so I could have a reputation I didn't even want. Along with forcing me to be not who I am." I looked her in the eye. "You are the worst person I ever met. You always shame me for small things. It's always what you want, you never comforted me when I was alone and depressed. When I had anxiety attacks you pushed me away and yelled at me to go in my room and stop acting stupid."
"How the fuck am I suppose to put a smile on my face and act as if our entire family is perfect." My breathing was steady my mother looked at me.
"Get the fuck out now Anjelic. Get out! Your a rotten shitty daughter!" I looked at her, "Fine!" I grabbed my bag and my phone along with my jacket and left. Before I could make it out the door my mother yanked my arm.
"I wish it was you, not Angel."
