A/N: Still don't really ship it, but I want to shake things up a bit.Roman's POV:
You know, when I offered to go in the single riders' line, I forgot just how boring it was. Waiting in line with people you don't even know with nothing to say? It's not fun to a social guy like me. I enjoy talking with my friends and making fun conversations.
I shifted on my foot, eyeing the man next to me as I waited for the employee up ahead to pair me with someone. That's usually how the single riders' lines work; they were paired off with another single rider to even out the line when necessary. Based on how the line was moving, it seemed I was going to be paired off.
Sure enough, the employee gestured to me and the man next to me and gestured for us to move forward in line. Swallowing my nerves, I turned to him. "Hey, my name's Roman, what's yours?" I asked, offering a smile.
"I'm Logan," he said, lips twitching upward as though he was happy. "I was waiting for you to introduce yourself. You've been eyeing me for the past fifteen minutes."
I flushed at the correct statement. I had been looking at him as discreetly as I could; I couldn't help it, he was attractive and had a lot of character about him. He was dressed smartly for someone at a theme park, in a polo shirt and a necktie. "Apologies, I didn't mean to be rude," I explained. "I guess we're paired up. Have you ever been on this ride?"
"No actually," he replied.
"Well, if you get scared, I'll hold your hand," I suggested flirtatiously, flashing a smirk.
Logan rolled his eyes and adjusted his glasses as we got into our ride car. He clearly didn't appreciate my affections. I pouted, facing forward as the ride started. It was a fun house themed horror ride with lots of jump scares. I'd been on it a million times, so I knew what to expect and wasn't scared in the slightest as the car headed into a dark tunnel.
There was a sudden jump scare, and the man next to me let out a squeak and grabbed my hand. I look at him in shock before squeezing it comfortingly. My cheeks blushed a little as he laced our fingers together and scooted closer to me; we barely knew each other, but I didn't mind comforting him.
By the time the ride was over, he was clearing his throat and we were walking out together. "You okay?" I asked him, still holding onto his hand.
"Yes, thank you, I appreciate the comfort," Logan replied, smiling a little while looking extremely embarrassed.
I didn't really want to leave him, despite the fact that my friends were leaving the ride as well. Gathering my courage, I cleared my throat and turned him. "Would you like to join me and my friends for the night?" I asked, smiling. "I'd like to get to know you more, you were fun to hang out with."
"I suppose I have no other arrangements for the night," he said with a smile.
