A/N: This is a kid!AU by the way! Happy Easter!Thomas woke up on a Sunday morning without a clue as to what the day was. He'd forgotten all about Easter, but as he exited his room and stepped into the hallway, he noticed little colored chocolate eggs on the ground.
A happy gasp escaped his lips as he knelt down to picked them up. By the time he made it down stairs, they were falling out of his arms because there were so many. His eyes widened as they landed on the bright purple basket on the counter with a big stuffed bunny and more candy in it. He dashed forward, grabbing the stuffed animal and looking up at his mom with a grin.
"Happy Easter sweetheart," his mother said with a smile as he ran forward to hug her legs.
"Did the Easter Bunny hide eggs around the house?!" he asked excitedly.
She knelt down to look him the eye as she shook her head. "Not this year honey," she said. He frowned sadly, but she smiled wider. "He hid a bunch of them in the park instead so that all the kids in town could look for them together! We're going there in half an hour, once you've eaten and gotten dressed and brushed your teeth, okay?"
Thomas cheered and raced back up to his room. When he came back down, he was dressed and he began scarfing down his breakfast. "Careful not to make yourself sick," his mother warned.
After another ten minutes, his teeth were brushed, his stomach was full, his hair was combed, and he was ready to go egg hunting in the park. They got in the car and began their drive, which was only a couple minutes long, but Thomas couldn't contain his excitement as he saw Easter decorations all around town. There were gradually more of them the closer they grew to the park.
They found a parking spot and went to the center of the park where all the adults were gathered with their children for the egg hunt. The young boy gasped excitedly as he recognized his four best friends: Patton Valentine, Logan Sharp, Roman Prince, and Virgil Black.
He ran to them, practically squealing with excitement as he wrapped his arms around them. "HEY GUYS!!" he yelled hugging each of them individually once he pulled away from the group hug. "It's so good to see you!! I'm so excited! We're gonna find ALL of the eggs together!! We're gonna have so much fun! I can't wait!!"
Patton nodded vigorously in agreement, practically glowing with joy as he looked toward his friends. "He's right! Isn't he right Logan?" he said, leaning his head on the slightly taller boy's shoulder.
"I think he's right, we know this park better than anyone," Logan agreed, adjusting his glasses, but not brushing off the other boy.
"Hazah! We shall be the best egg hunters in the world!! No- the UNIVERSE!! And we shall slay the dragon witches if they to stop us!" Roman added
He raised his cardboard sword that he kept on him and all times; he also always had on a cardboard crown. Virgil tugged on the bottom of his shirt, gnawing on his lip. "D-Do you think they will actually be d-dragon witches?" he asked shakily.
"Not to fear Virgil! Even if they show their scaly faces, I'll protect you!" the princely boy said, linking their arms together. "Now come on guys! It's about to start."
All five of them grabbed each other's hands and arms giggling as they raced toward the park, knowing that this was gonna be the best Easter egg hunt ever, and it was because they were all together.
