PART 39

We went inside their pack house. It was neatly designed with simple crafts made of wood and cloth linings that was elegant in view. They had a fireplace. Not so huge living room, a kitchen and three rooms.

Iginaya ako ni Tyler na maupo sa mahabang sofa. Dumiretso naman sa kusina ang kanyang ama at amoy ko ang tinitimplang kape. Matapos ang ilang minuto ay saka ito lumapit sa amin na may dalang isang tray na may lamang tatlong tasa ng kape at sandwiches. At sa pagkabigla ko ay tumunog ang aking tiyan. Oh crap!

Narinig kong tumawa ng mahina si Tyler na siniko naman ng kanyang ama. "You must be hungry. Suit yourself." ang tatay ni Tyler. Wala akong sinayang na sandali. Nilantakan ko agad ang sandwich. Nakamasid lang silang dalawa sa akin. "Go on, eat some more to satisfy your hunger." Tyler said while grinning. Hambalusin ko kaya?

Kumuha ulit ako ng isa pang sandwich saka kinagatan. I don't care kung maubos ko ang tinapay, eh sa nagugutom ako.

Nang masatisfy ay saka ulit ako humarap sa kanila. "Thank you for the food and I'm sorry if  I almost ate them." nahihiya kong saad.

"Its alright love, you don't have to worry besides we're still full." ani Tyler sabay himas sa kanyang tiyan.

"I haven't introduced myself yet, where are my manners?" sabad naman ng ama nito. "Ivan Monroe Woods, current  Alpha of the Wood Cresent Pack.  " pakilala niya sa kanyang sarili sabay lahad ng kanyang palad.

"An honor to meet you, sir. My name is Audrey Almeda but some called me by my ancient name, Arathea." I humbly said and shake our hands with a smile on our lips.

"That's enough, Father. Nakakarami kana." asar na sabi ni Tyler. "Inggit ka lang." panunuya rin ng kanyang ama. Oh, I want to have this kind of family. Yung tipong parang magkapatid lang kung mag-usap. Then we get our ass on the sofa again.  Ivan cleared his throat to catch our attention.

"Can you tell us what happened?" he asked seriously.

"Hmm, well I was at the palace, in my room exactly,  looking at the mirror when I felt a terrible pain on my head. I banged my head on the wall to eased my suffering but it didn't help. I was screaming in so much pain but no one could hear me. Sound proof yung silid ko." kwento ko, I paused when Tyler catched my attention because of his hands formed into fist already, I can feel his anger. Napansin din pala iyon ng kanyang ama kaya naman hinawakan niya ito, bumaling naman sa kanya ito saka pinalis ang galit na nararamdaman ng mga sandaling iyon.  "I don't know what happened next dahil nawalan na ako ng malay after that. Paggising ko, nasa malapit na ako sa talon, naked." I felt embarassed with my last word. I know I shouldn't tell pero I need to find also the reason why I get there in the first place.

"I did smell your scent few miles away but I didn't try to find you. But when we were patrolling the area the next day, I was stunned to see you l-like that so I need to get some clothes and put near the falls." pag-amin naman ni Tyler.  Kaya pala may damit akong nakita.

"Is that the reason why you didn't come home early?" baling ng kanyang ama na kinagulat ko.

"I have to stay with her, Father. That place is too dangerous. Isa pa, kasama ko ang ilan nating tauhan. They might attack her."  depensa naman nito. "Don't worry, I keep my distance on her. "

"Alright. Now that you're here, you can stay as long as you want." nakatingin na muli sa akin ang Alpha. " And tonight, each of us will be running in the woods. But you and Tyler will be staying in the underground. Its for your own safety. Tyler will be the one to lock you in cage."
