Chapter 22

(EMMA'S POV)

Ali came over to my house after school to work on a project. We went to the kitchen to grab some snacks and got up to my room.

We started planning on what we're gonna do for the project, but that didn't last long. Of course, we couldn't focus and just ended up watching weird videos on YouTube. We were watching some funny animals videos when my FaceTime rang on my laptop. It was Daniel.

I got all excited and immediately clicked on accept.

"HII BABE!!" I say, with Ali next to me.

"HEY BABE I'M IN THE STUDIO RIGHT NOW WITH THE GUYS." He says.

He was on a couch and I can see people behind him.

"Hi Daniel!" Ali says.

"Hey Ali."

Jonah suddenly grabbed Daniel's shoulder and looked at the camera. "Hi EMMA!! We've heard so much about you!" He says, giggling.

I could see, his eyes suddenly turned to Ali and smiled. I looked at Ali and I can see her blushing.

"Also, this is Ali. My best friend. Jonah, Ali. Ali, Jonah."

"Hi, Ali! Nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you too." She says. She looked all shy and I've never seen her like that before.

Daniel and I gave each other a look just watching Jonah and Ali meet each other.

"Anyway" Jonah says, breaking the silence. "I'll leave you too alone. Nice to finally meet you Emma...and...Ali!"

Ali and I both smiled while Jonah walks away.

Ali mouthed, "I'll go down for a while".

I nodded.

"I miss you so much, Em. We haven't spoken like this in like 6 weeks." Daniel says.

"I knoww! I miss you so much too. How's the album doing?"

"It's doing great. We're almost done. We're just doing some final touches to make it even more better!"

"So....WHEN DO I GET TO HEAR IT?"

"Soon babe, soon. I promise. You'll be one of the firsts to hear it."

I smiled.

"What time is it there?" He asks.

"Around 5pm. Ali and I were just working on a project but we got distracted and watched funny animal videos instead."

"Wow. Such good students." He teased.

"Shut up." as I rolled my eyes.

"What's the project about?"

"Oh you know...stuff."

He gave me a look.

"I DON'T KNOW!" I giggle. "We don't even get it ourselves. We need to do some research about it."

We spent about 2 hours talking and just catching up with each other. It felt so good to finally be able to hear his voice again. It's somewhat, comforting.

Ali and I didn't get to do our project since it was already too late. She just had dinner with my family and went home.

(DANIEL'S POV)

It's a new day, which means another day in the studio. It's been so much fun making the album with the boys. I can't wait for everyone to be able to hear it.

I got up from my bed, made some breakfast and took it with me in the living room. It's only me in the house. Mum and Anna went out to school and work for the day and they don't get back till later in the day.

Since I had the whole house to myself, I took my time to get ready since we don't go to the studio until 2pm.

I was blasting out some Jon Bellion and just sang and danced along to it. Before I know it, it was time to leave.

The boys picked me up from my house.

"HEY DANIEL!" They all say as I open the door of the car.

"Sup guys." I sat down beside Jack.

It was about a 20 minute ride to the studio.

"So, how's Emma?" Jack asks.

"She's good. We haven't really had the time to speak. We've just been texting since we're both so busy lately."

"I know how you feel, dude." I hear Corbyn says from the front seat.

"Long distance is hard man." I say.

Corbyn nodded in agreement.

"But you'll get used to it dude. You guys will be able to manage it, I promise. It used to be so hard for me and Christina too but we managed to get through it somehow. I know you guys will too."

"I hope so too, dude."

We arrived in the studio and just got to work. During break, I decided to call Emma since it felt like forever since I heard her voice.

Jonah was finally able to meet Emma. Jonah met Emma's bestfriend Ali as well and I know him so well. He had that look when he met Ali.

"I saw that." I say to him when I was done talking to Emma.

"Saw what?" He says, looking confused.

"The way you look at Ali, you idiot."

"I don't know what you're talking about." He pretends.

"C'mon, dude. I know you, you can't lie to me."

He pretends to not hear me.

"Don't worry, I'll ask about her the next time I call Emma. Just hope she doesn't think that I'm into her bestfriend." I joked.

"Well, I appreciate that dude." He laughed.
