The Unexpected

Chapter 32

(EMMA'S POV)

We pulled over in front of a white fancy looking bungalow that was lit up so brightly with fairly lights spread around it.

There was a nice stone fountain greeting you right by the entrance of the gate.

Daniel and I walked over to the front porch when a lady greeted us right away.

"Good evening. Reservations?"

"Yes. Umm Seavey?" says Daniel.

She looked at her clipboard for a moment and looked back up at us.

"Follow me, please."

We walked through tables filled with people wearing suits and pretty dresses. Suddenly, I felt out of place.

Daniel saw me looking nervous and reached out to hold my hand.

The lady brought us to a gazebo which is a few metres away from the restaurant itself. It was filled with fairly lights and flowers around it with soft music playing.

"Enjoy your evening sir and madam."

"Thank you very much" says Daniel.

I had no words so I just nodded and smiled at her.

"Is..is..this where we're having our dinner??" I ask.

"Yeah. Don't you like it?"

"I love it. It's just...beautiful."

We started walking towards it and it's just as beautiful up close. The ceiling had sparkling stars on them as if it was the sky.

Daniel pulled the chair out for me and a few moments later, a waiter came in.

"Good evening, Mr and Mrs Seavey. I'll be your waiter for tonight."

A felt a little shocked when he called me Mrs Seavey. I looked at Daniel and he didn't mind it at all. He just gave me a smirk.

"Shut up." I say and rolled my eyes.

"So, see anything you like?" He asks.

The menu was filled with different kinds of food starting from Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and many more. I couldn't choose!

"Everything.." I whispered, thinking Daniel didn't hear me.

"Everything? Well go ahead, it's your day."

"Wait, what? I don't think I can finish it all."

"I've seen you eat, Em."

I chuckled. "Fine"

A few moments later, the waiter came and took our orders. We pretty much ordered almost all of the things on the menu.

There was a silence for a moment.

"Daniel, this is just...amazing. You know you didn't have to do this, right? You even got us a private table."

"I know but I just wanted to do something special for you. Especially that we don't see each other very often."

"Everyday is special when I'm with you."

He stood up and gave me a kiss on the lips.

"I love you so much."

"I love you too, more than you know."

"Oh, I know."

"Aren't you a moment ruiner?"

We both laughed.

He went back to his seat and the food arrived.

"Wow, that's a lot." I say, all shocked.

"That's all your favourite."

I chuckled. "Yeah, it is."

My face brightened up instantly.

I don't even know how I'm gonna manage to eat it all.

*BUUUUURP*

"Oops, I'm sorry! Excuse me!" I say.

"HAHAHAHA Well, someone's a little bit full, isn't she?"

"Someone? Who?" I pretended.

"I'm guessing you didn't like the food."

"OHH NAHH! It was awful! Let's not come back here again. NEVER EVER!"

"If you say so."

Both of us started bursting out of laughter.

We were just starting to calm down from laughing when a group of people suddenly came from behind me, carrying instruments and they started playing one of my favourite songs, "Come Away With Me" by Norah Jones.

I looked at Daniel. "You did not."

"I guess I did."

He stood up from his chair, pulled his hand out and said "may I have this dance?"

I reached out for his hand and we both walked out of the gazebo into the middle of the garden.

He placed his hands around my waist and my arms around his shoulders, pulling closer together as we sway to the music.

I rested my head on his chest and I could hear his heart beating.

I was trying to take in every moment. Usually these things only happens in movies but I can't believe it's happening to me. Thinking about how in a few days, he'll be back in LA and I don't know when I'll see him again. I know I'll be in New York in a month but with his schedule, I don't know when we can see each other again. This long distance is harder than I thought but it makes our every moment together, special.

"Em?"

"Yes?" I looked up into his gorgeous blue eyes.

"Are you happy?"

"Very."

I smiled back at him and he kisses my forehead.

HELLLLLLOOOOOOO PEOPLE!!!! WOW it's been a while let me tell ya! It's been a crazy few months for me. I applied for Universities and got into a few. Accepted one of the offers, went to class for like 3 weeks then decided it wasn't for me haha. Then this whole process of transferring schools was a pain in the ass but all is good now. I'm just waiting for classes to start which is not until the end of August, so I have about a month more left of freedom haha. I'm not gonna promise that I'm gonna post often since I've been running out of ideas for this story lately, but I do hope you enjoyed this short chapter.
