(DANIEL'S POV)
Today is the day I leave to visit Emma. Luckily, we have a couple of days off, so I managed to sneak in a flight to Singapore even just for a while. I just really wanted to see her. Coincidentally, it falls on the week she turns 18 so I asked her family and her best friend to help me plan something extra special for her.
I packed some last minute things I needed and headed downstairs. The boys were over that afternoon to work on some stuff for tour.
"Have an amazing trip, dude!" Jack comes up to hug me.
"Bring back some snacks for us." Zach says.
Corbyn messes up my hair and said "are you excited, bro?"
"Is that even a question? Of course I AM! I'm seeing my girlfriend after 2 months."
"Have fun, dude. I'm excited for you." while giving me a hug.
"See you soon, brother. Say hi to Ali for me." said Jonah.
"Haha I will. You guys have been talking, huh?"
"Yeah." He chuckles.
"I'm happy for you, dude. She seems nice from your and Emma's stories about her. Hopefully I can meet her when I'm there."
"Me too. I wish I could go with you."
"It's alright, bro. You'll get to meet her soon."
He smiled.
I was saying goodbye to the boys when Anna and my mum came in.
"Here." Anna says giving me a box.
"What's this?" I asked.
"That's for Emma. It's my present for her for her birthday. Can you help me give it to her, please?"
"Of course, little sis." Giving her a tight hug.
I then gave my mum cuddle. "Have a safe trip, sweetie. Wish we could go with you to see Emma again."
"Don't worry, I'll call you when I'm with her so you guys can talk."
They both smiled.
My uber arrived and I went to the airport. It's about an 18 hour flight from LA to Singapore. I'm on my own so I'm gonna need some form of entertainment during the duration of the flight.
There wasn't some good WiFi connection on the plane so I won't be able to message Emma until I arrive. Hopefully she doesn't get too suspicious.
(EMMA'S POV)
It's always been a chill Sunday for us. It's the day where my family and I hang out together even if we're just at home. My mum would cook something special, and we would talk about our week.
I was up in my room writing some songs when I noticed Daniel hasn't texted me for the day. It was so unusual of him. If we didn't have time to FaceTime, he would just text me but he hasn't replied to any of my messages.
"He's probably just busy." I say to myself.
I heard a knock on my door.
"Sweetie, can I come in?" It was my mum.
I put aside my notebook and my guitar so she could sit on my bed.
"You're turning 18 tomorrow. That's a big year."
I smiled at her.
"You're not my little baby anymore. You're all grown up." Giving me a hug. I could feel her starting to cry.
