Chapter 10

Brooke's POV

Alex started sucking my neck making me bite my lip to silence my moans. He kept kissing my neck and I moved my hair aside giving him more space. I climbed into his lap and started kissing him passionately. He grabs my thighs before getting up and carrying me to the bedroom without breaking the kiss. He throws me on the bed before climbing over me, kissing me again. He was already so hard and that just made me want him even more. '' I asked him as I got up wrapping a sheet around my body. '' Sure babe, I'll make us some snacks. '' I nodded before entering the bathroom. The sheet falls down onto the floor from my body as I enter the shower. The water runs down my body as my thoughts start taking over my mind. Niall and I haven't spoken since the day we went dress shopping. I know that he's on the tour but whenever he was on tour we would still talk whenever he could. After a few minutes, I turned off the shower. I quickly got dressed and joined Alex who was also dressed and watching tv. When he noticed me, he smiled at me as I joined him on the bed, cuddling him.

'' What are you watching? '' I looked up at him as he placed his arm around me. '' Not quite sure, it's some random show that I found. '' I nod my head and he placed a small kiss onto my temple. My eyelids started feeling heavy as I cuddled into Alex even more, a few minutes later  I fell asleep. 

A few days later...

Niall's tour ended last night. I still haven't heard from him and it was starting to piss me off. Since I was friends with everyone in the band, I texted Jake asking him when are they landing, and also telling him I'm planning on surprising Niall. He said that they are landing around 5 pm, I texted him back thanking him also asking him if he could keep it a secret. He replied saying it's understood and I was relieved. I checked the time, seeing it's half past three so I decided to change into something comfier.  I placed my sunglasses on and grabbed my car keys. Since I believed he'll want some coffee after a long flight, I stopped at Starbucks and grabbed both of us some coffee. After an hour of driving, I finally arrived at the airport. It was now about 5 pm and I saw that their flight still hasn't landed. I waited for a couple of minutes until I saw that they landed. When I saw a bunch of paparazzi I knew he's out of the plane so I slowly started walking over to the place where they were and I saw him. His head was down and he tried to make his way through the paps. Jake saw me and smiled at me. I smiled back as he nudged Niall causing him to look up. His face was in pure shock when he saw me before it turned to the biggest grin. He ran up to me, picking me up from the floor hugging me tightly. I chuckled as I yell at him to put me down. '' Put me down you idiot, I can't breathe '' I giggled and he placed me down. 

'' How come you came? '' he asked me and I tucked my lips in. '' I asked Jake when is your plane landing so that I can surprise you. And because we need to talk. '' He sighed and I knew he knows what I'm talking about. 

'' Let's just go somewhere else first and we can talk then, okay? '' I nodded before guiding him towards my car. He asked me if he could drive so I throw him the keys before sitting on the passenger seat. We drove over to the place he and I used to come before, it was our secret place. It was some hill that had a view over the whole city and it was the most powerful place to watch the sunset. When he stopped the car, I grabbed our coffees and got out of the car. Niall got out of the car as we both climbed onto the car. '' We haven't been here in forever. '' I'm the one to break the silence first. I handle him his coffee and he sighs. '' I know. I guess we've both been too busy to come here. '' I nodded my head. '' Why have you been ignoring me? I know you've been touring but that wasn't an issue before. Did I do something? ''  

THIRD PERSON'S POV

He wanted very badly to tell her the reason why he ignored her. To tell her how much his heart aches for her but she belongs to somebody else. He wants to tell her how much he loves her and he deserves to be the one who's marrying her. What neither one of them didn't know is that their love for each other is obvious to everybody who's surrounding them. Even Alex knows, but he also knows that she does love him too. He takes a deep breath before telling something he instantly regret. '' I've met someone. '' those words were enough to break Brooke's heart a little. 

'' So you're telling me that you just randomly decided to ignore your best friend over some girl that you just met? Well, that's just fantastic! '' she sarcastically commented. He sighed as she jumped off the car starting to walk away from him. He walked after her, trying to make her listen. '' Petal, don't say that. It's just that she's very special to me if you had met her you would've agreed with me. '' that just made her roll her eyes at his sentence. 

'' Then why didn't you bring her with you? If she's so special then maybe you should've stayed with her, continuing to ignore my calls and messages. '' Her eyes started to tear up as she stopped walking and turned around to face him. The only thing he could've thought of was to continue the lie. ''  Maybe I should've instead of being here fighting with you. '' his heart was breaking at the sight of the girl he loves with his whole heart crying. He was the reason she was crying and he knew that. But he couldn't stop lying and he didn't know why. '' At least I should thank you for acting like you cared and for letting me know that we're done. '' The tears were rolling down her cheeks. He wanted so badly to wipe away those tears and caress her cheeks. But he knew he couldn't do it. '' Don't say that we're done, Brooke. Don't you dare to say that this friendship is over just because of something stupid as this! We've been through a lot of worse things and you know that. Just don't end our friendship. '' He was crying now too. '' I never acted that I cared. I truly do care about you! '' She shook her head trying so hard to stop crying. '' Of course, you do. I had no idea that you ignore people that you care about for weeks. Not days, not hours but weeks, Niall. It could've been months if your tour didn't end. '' She wiped away her tears furiously. '' You have no right to tell me about our friendship when I know every single thing about it. Yes, we've been through worse things than this, but honestly? I'm tired of getting all worked up just because we had a fight. I'm tired of all these emotions and it's becoming overwhelming. '' he ran his fingers through his hair frustratingly. She didn't understand that all of this is because he's in love with her. '' Niall I'm sorry but I just can't do this. I just think it'll be best for both of us if we end this friendship while we're still sane. '' he licked his lips tasting the saltiness from his tears. '' And please don't bother coming to the wedding. '' She said as she slowly approached the car.  She opened the door from the car, almost missing his last words to her. '' Don't worry, I won't. ''
