Monday's the day everyone dreads. Personally I don't because Monday means school and school means I'm out of my sad little home. Walking to the bus stop around the blocks corner. I stop mid-step.

Fuck!

Maddox forgot to bring me my notebooks. Dammit and I spaced my homework too. Jogging the rest of the way to the bus stop, i sit on the cold steal bench. Goosebumps inch their way all over my body. Putting my backpack on my lap I open it and I'm surprised to see nothing was seriously damaged from the rain on Friday.

Happily I pull out all assignments and get to work. The bus was late but that's usual on Mondays. Unlike the afternoon commute home I only have to take one bus to school. I honestly hate having to take public transportation, but you see there isn't any other way for me to get to A and B.

Not knowing how to drive sucks but as you already know I have no one to teach me either. Adrianna drives but she's under strict rules to only drive to school and straight back home. Plus my house is super out of her way anyways I wouldn't even ask.

Crisp autumn air fills my lungs as I step off the final step of the bus. Taking in a deep breath I sling my backpack over my shoulder and walk into school. The crowded halls buzz with activity as I go to my locker. I get a shoulder check here and a shoulder check there, someone steps on the back of my shoe making me trip. You know the normal day to day hallway in a high school.

Arriving to the safety that is my locker. I input the combination to my lock. I shove third periods homework in it and my now withered Wuthering Heights. A sad sigh comes from my mouth as I close my locker. I really love that book and now it's ruined.

Having to push my way past everyone in the hallway I make it to first period and sit in my spot. "Hello miss Knight hope you had a good weekend." Only nodding my head he resumes doing what he was doing at his desk. It feels weird that I don't have nothing but my extra spiral notebook for today. I hope Maddox shows up with my notebook.

The bells ring and we start class but no Maddox. This is great. Just great. The rest of the day I was annoyed Maddox hadn't bothered to show up to bring me my notebooks at least. At the end of the day at my locker I over hear a couple guys I seen Maddox talking to. Boys will be boys and they're supposed to head over to his house.

Lucky me heard the address. Looking it up on my phone if I leave from here now, I can catch the bus and take it all the way to his house. S.o.b has a stop right in front of his house. Jogging to the bus I barely make in time for the right bus. Giving my fair I sit next to the window and watch the houses go by.

Instead of the houses turning into old run down ones they start getting bigger and bigger. Damn where does this kid live. The bus stops in front of a gated house and checking my phone this seems to be my stop.

As I walk up to the gate there's two men in black suits and have little ear pieces. Should I ask if this is where Maddox lives? Maybe they would know and point me to the right house or something.

Standing about 15 feet away from the men I awkwardly give a small wave.

"Um hi, Im Ivy.", they both look at me but don't reply. " uhh alright. Well I was just wondering if you would possibly know where Maddox lives. I don't know his last name, but he's tall, olive skin, with green eyes."

The two men look at each other and one whispers into the collar of his button up shirt, and then the gates open up behind them.

"Go ahead." They simultaneously say. Oh alright. Sheepishly I walk past them and down a long stone paved drive way. Wow his family must have money. The house is three stories high with pillars in the front of it. That's a nice porch. At the door not even having to knock a girl in a maid outfit opens the door.

"This way miss Ivy. Maddox is just in his room." Following her inside up a large stair case, we weave through the mansion of a house till we come upon a hallway full of doors. She stands in front of the first door.

"His door is the last one down this hall. Enjoy your stay."

Security guys, maids that answers the doors, long staircases am I missing something? Knocking on the door the lady told me too shuffling makes it's way to the door.

The door creaks open just a little. You would think nothing here would creak because of how fancy everything is.

"Maddox? Are you in there?" Pushing it open Maddox sits on the edge of a bed. "What are you doing here Ivy?" No shirt on he sits with his elbows on his knees and looks at me. His eyes bare under eye circles and he has a few bruises on his face.

"I came for my notebooks. I really needed them today. Um are you ok you look like you've been hurt?" I walk up to where he sits and he just gets up and moves to a desk that's in a corner of the room. Opening a drawer he pulls out my notebooks.

Shoving them into my chest I wince.

"Here you can go now."
