We all make mistakes wether we want to or we don't. I'm a prime example. People make stupid decisions everyday. I was so obsessed with having Ivy I never thought of the day I might lose her. And especially to my own hands. I miss her.
The way she would just light my day up with her laugh or how perfectly her body fit with mine. It's gone all gone now. All because of my mistakes. So when I got a call from Brody a guy I work with at the hospital my heart broke in two.
Ivy was in an accident not just her but a five year old girl too. I guess Ivy was trying to save her from an on coming car, but instead of getting off the way in time they were both hit. I've never driven so fast in my life. I thank god that there wasn't any cops around to stop me.
The stale smell of disinfectant and sterilizer hits my nose. A smell that usually calms me during my shift hours is now my worst nightmare. Jogging up to the nurses desk I ask where Ivy is to I believe her name is Joyce. Her hair I a light brown eyes a pale blue and her skin color a luscious brown. Very beautiful but I could care less right now.
"She's in surgery right now. You'll have to wait in the waiting room. I'm sorry Grayson I know you know her but family is only permitted once she's out. You know the rules." She says with a somber tone while looking at me. She has freckles too hard to see but still there.
"Yeah I know." I lightly knock on the desk a thing I do for luck whenever I go into surgery and sit myself down in a waiting chair. Fuck I'm not even sure who they have as her emergency contact. As if the universe had heard me someone I'd never thought I'd see again runs up to where I was just standing.
The height and eyes give him away as he frantically talks to Joyce. Her eyes never leaving his face as a small blush forms on the peaks of her cheeks.

Rolling my eyes I stand and make my way to the man. "I never thought I'd see you here when did you move to town?" I ask Luca Ivys older brother.
"Smart ass shut the fuck up and tell me where my sister is." His voice low and dangerous like always it makes my skin crawl.
"She's in surgery. Are you her emergency contact?" I ask while walking back to my seat.
"It would seem so."
Luca sits next to me and mugs the shit out of me. He's never liked me since the first time he saw me walk into Ivys dorm room in college. Damn how long ago was that now what six years almost seven now.
"So are you going to fill me in what the fuck happened to my baby sister and why aren't you in there helping fix her up." The low growl i hear I'm not entirely sure if it's just my brain making it up or not.
"We... we don't talk anymore." I say rubbing my already sweaty palms on my jeans. I purposely don't look at Luca. This is the same guy who hunted me down on campus after I had walked into Ivys room to introduced myself as her dorm supervisor. Just to tell me to stay away from her and not to sleep with her. Crazy how that turned out.
"Why not Red?"
Rolling my eyes I've always hated that nickname he gave me and now Maddox uses it too. I'm surprised that he's not here honestly. Looking around half expectedly trying to see if he's around but nothing.
"Hello tell me Red. Why aren't the two of you talking. Last time when I saw you guys you where attached to the hip and don't think I'm dumb. I know you fucked my little sister. I'm just holding off beating your face in because of Ivy."

I groan inwardly. "We just don't ok besides it's not important right now. Ivy is what's important right now. Why are you here how are you here actually." He doesn't look at me those oceanic eyes just stare at a wall behind us over his shoulder.
" I followed Ivy when she came here." His eyes faulted a little as if he could cry. "Why Luca?"
"I didn't want to stay in that shit town. Where both my parents died." Looking at me his mood changes quick. "So yeah I fucking left and I should've talked to her a lot sooner then coming only when something shitty happens to her. Don't give me a fucking lecture Red I don't fucking need it."
Luca stands up. I'm tall but he's freakishly tall. Just as I go to stand up too Dr. Allen comes out. "Grayson... good to see you. You coming in for your shift later?" He asks while taking off his scrub hat. "You mist be Luca," he says turning towards Luca extending his hand. "I'm Dr.Allen I performed surgery on your sister. Everything looks good she broke her right leg and her left hand wrist."
"What about the little girl?" I asked.
Just shaking his head I already knew the poor girl didn't make it.
"What little girl?" Luca asks "never mind can I see my sister?" He switches back to his concern to his sister.
"She's sleeping right now but you're able to see her if you want." I begin to follow Luca when Dr. Allen stops me. "Family only my boy. I'm sorry." He says gently grabbing my shoulder.
