Ivy pulls away from me walking to the other side of her bedroom wringing the bottom of her shirt in her hands as she looks at the ground.

"I don't want to lose you Grayson. We've been through so much." Her voice quivering just as her bottom lip does as well. I can't help but feel like shit.

"Ivy I don't want you to be with me because you think you'll lose me." I shake my head. "I want you to choose to be mine because you feel something too Ivy. Even if it's just a smidge of feeling for me. I'll take it and try to make it bloom into something so much more." Reaching out I gently grasp her hands in mine.

My hands fully engulfing her small ones I pull her closer to me hugging her in my embrace. Taking in her sweet watermelon scent.

"Ok." She whispers. Pulling away from me with her hands on my shoulder she smiles with tears in her eyes.

"Let's try Grayson."

Three words.

Just three.

That's all it took for me to be as happy as I possibly could be in my entire lifetime. "Are you sure?" I question making my own heartbeat quick with anticipation.

"Yes I'm sure." She shyly nods. "I want to see where this could go. You've always been there for me Grayson and I was selfish. Selfish to want you to my self but never give you what you wanted which was me. All you ever wanted was just me. Me and all my baggage." Her eyes never leaving mine. I wipe away a couple stray tears away.

"Don't cry Ivy." I say kissing her cheek lingering for a couple seconds.

"I love you Ivy Knight. I know you don't love me yet, but I won't stop showing you how much I love you everyday you're while you're mine." Smiling she returns it blushing ever so slightly.

"No regrets?" I ask hugging her to me.

"No regrets Bek." She says into my shoulder.

That night changed a lot of things for Ivy and I. Like I said I was the happiest I could've ever been. More then happy. I was finally able to call her mine. Have her all to myself.

It was short lived.

Our happiness that is.
