Claws Out

I landed on top of a Chapel and watched the last few rays of the sun set and disappear behind the horizon.

Once the sky was dark, I went around the city a bit more, watching over the people. It was dark so no one was able to notice me.

I went back to the hotel and slipped in through the window.

"Hello, dear Ladybug. Or shall I say Marinette?" Said a deep voice.

Chills went up my spine as I realised someone who didn't seem so friendly knew about my identity.

"Who are you?" I asked, trying to see. The only thing I was able to see was an outline of a tall man.

He stepped into the light that shone from the window.

I gasped as he smiled in a sinister manner.

"Hawkmoth!"

"Correct, you smart bug. It is I, the one and only: Hawkmoth."

I began backing away. I didn't want trouble.

"So you come here and cause a scene and expect me not to find out? You put a person dear to me in an Intensive Care Unit. For that, I will show you my wrath."

Before I tried climbing out the window, an invisible force pushed me back in and I landed on my back.

"Oh, how rude of me. Meet Invisimo. He'll take good care of you." grinned Hawkmoth.

In just a few seconds, I was tied up and taken out of the window by Invisimo. Hawkmoth followed us and took us to a newly constructed, unused building that Adrien earlier said was going to be Gabriel Agreste's new branch in Milan.

I immediately realised what this was and who Hawkmoth was behind his mask. He was Gabriel Agreste. They tied me to a construction pole and I watched the door open and close. Invisimo has left to terrorise people.

"Now, for the final result of all my plans. Ladybug's Miraculous."

He reached his hand out towards my face and pushed back my hair, to reveal the Miraculous. I began panicking because I knew that this time, no one will save me and I was helpless.

I began kicking as hard as I could to stop him from taking them but I should have known that wouldn't stop him. He removed them from my ears and in a flash of bright red, I was Marinette once more. He cackled as tears began streaming down my cheeks.

"Give me back my Miraculous!" I yelled pitifully.

"No, although you're free to go and you're no longer my hostage. Go on, now.", he said.

He untied my arms and picked me up as I continued to cry. I looked him in the eyes and glared right at them.

"You evil monster!" I yelled as he pulled me by the arm across the empty shop and kicked me out of the back door.

"Next, I'm going for Chat Noir's Miraculous which will be much easier of a task for me.", he smiled with an evil twinkle in his eye.

I immediately thought of an idea. The moment he let me go, I began running.

"Have a safe flight!" he called out as I ran from him. He must've known that I asked to fly out. Perhaps that's why he seized the chance to take my Miraculous or else he'd probably never get it.

As I was running, I saw a taxi and stopped it. I opened the back door and got in.

"Go to the nearest Hospital, please." I said. He began driving and in just a few minutes, I was there. I got out of the car frantically and left some money with him.

I ran into the doors of the hospitals and rushed to the reception desk.

"Hello, I'd like to visit Adrien Agreste? I'm his friend." I said anxiously.

"Right, that's what the others girls said. Go away." She said, waving her hand at me.

"Here, i'll show you." I pulled out my phone and showed her multiple pictures of us together. "I'm from his school." I said.

"Hm, okay fine but you can only be with him for 10 minutes maximum. He hasn't woken up, yet. Don't disturb him." He stated as she got up from her seat.

"I'll take you to his room." she said as she began walking. I followed her to the elevator. She pressed floor number 4 and we waited in awkward silence as we go to the floor.

The elevator came to a halt and the doors opened. I walked after her when she walked out and she led me to a door.

Room No. 420

Okay, good. I'm here.

She pulled out a key card and swiped it across the censor and the door unlocked silently. She opened the door and let me in.

Before closing the door, she said: "Remember, not more than 10 minutes."

I nodded and walked up to Adrien's bed. I picked up his hand and pulled the ring off. I saw something black get sucked in and knew that this was the Miraculous I was looking for.

I knew that I had to protect this ring with my life because if Hawkmoth managed to get both of the Miraculous in his possession, we would have lost.

I couldn't let that happen.

I put the ring on and walked out of the door. Before I closed it, I saw Adrien begin to regain consciousness. I closed the door before he saw me. I didn't want him knowing I was the one to take it because if his father pressured him, maybe he would have given the answer away.

I left quickly and when I got down to the first floor, the receptionist looked up at me and looked at me in a confused manner.

"He wasn't awake." I said. "Didn't I already tell you?" she asked. "Yeah, but I'll just wait until he wakes up." I said.

She nodded and I smiled at her. I left through the doors of the hospital and walked out, into the dark night.

I looked down at the ring on my finger  and it had a small green glow to it. I went to the side of the building, where no one could see me and a small black cat popped out.

"You must be a Kwami, what's your name?" I asked. "It's Plagg, I know you're Marinette. Let's skip the introductions. I know Tikki is in danger so transform so we can get our friends back." he stated.

"Say: Claws out."

"Claws out!"
