It was the next day. When I woke up, I had almost immediately felt the light weight of another human on me.
It was Marinette. She was sleeping so peacefully. I didn't want to move, so that I wouldn't wake her up.
Funny, this feels like deja vu. It feels like the time this same thing happened back at her house, in Paris.
As I was thinking about how I was going to apologise to her as Chat Noir, someone knocked on the door.
"Adrien? Adrien? Open up." Said a woman.
Nathalie.
As Nathalie continuously knocked on the door, Marinette began to wake.
She fluttered her eyes open and looked up at me.
Her pupils dilated as she realised what this was.
"Oh, Adrien! I'm so sorry! I- I didn't mean to!" She said, scrambling up.
Instead of letting her get off me like last time, I pulled her back down.
"I'm up, I'm up! We'll be down in the breakfast buffet in thirty minutes!" I said.
"Okay! Don't be late! We have a photo shoot at 3 pm, and we have to get you two looking fabulous at 2. It's already 11! We don't have that much time!" She exclaimed and I heard her high heels click away as she walked farther and farther away from the door.
I sighed of relief that she hadn't come in. She most likely had a card to my door.
I then turned my full attention to Marinette and realised I had by arms wrapped around her head and I was making her stuff her face into my chest.
"Oh! Sorry about that." I said.
"Wh- what the hell was that?" She asked as she blushed furiously.
"Instincts, I guess." I said and smirked.
"Okay... This is getting weird." She said crawled off of me.
She got up from the couch and as she was about to walk away, I grabbed her by her wrist.
She turned around, blushing.
"Wh- what n- now?" She asked.
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry about what I- he did." I said and looked down.
{Marinette's POV}
As he looked down, I saw his eyes flash with sadness.
I was dismayed.
"Adrien, what's wrong? I forgave you, remember? A- and it's fine! He was just a jerk." I smiled.
He looked up at me after I said 'jerk'.
"Marinette, who ever this guy is, he's definitely in love with you. I promise. Take my word for it." He told me.
He looked so sure, to the point I almost believed him.
But then I remembered the reaction Chat had after we kissed.
I'm sure he regrets it very much and now, I kind of do too.
Before I could get out of his grasp, he pulled me back on to the couch and hugged me.
"Marinette, I know what I'm talking about. With the way he sounds... He sounds like he really likes you. I know what a guy sounds like when he's in love." He said.
"I know I've made you so confused by rejecting you and then later confessing to you but even after all that, I hope you can trust me. This guy is the one for you. I can feel it." He said.
I blushed as his arms wrapped around my waist tightly.
He buried his nose into the side of my neck.
"I'm sorry for everything that you went through over the past month. I know everything is all confusing for you right now but you're questions will all be answered soon." He said and his grip on my waist loosened.
"Okay, I believe you."
