Finding You

As the possessed akuma lead the way, I began thinking of a plan that would be of any worth. I mentally scolded myself for not thinking ahead and merely acting in the heat of the moment. Come on, think Marinette! I can do this... No, I can't!

I was terrified of what would come next. The fact that I failed to plan meant that I practically planned to fail. If I lost the remaining Miraculous, I would have not only failed myself and the people I loved; I would have failed the whole world. In a way, I had set myself up for defeat since I went in without a plan. I watched as people looked at me worriedly. Many people began pulling out their phones and recording me. There were swarms of people appearing at the scene. I looked down, ashamed of myself. I felt as though I let everyone down.

A few minutes later, I appeared at the Agreste Fashion house. I recalled the recent visit I had. Was he really going to expose himself as Hawkmoth this way? If he fails in getting the Miraculous, then what is he going to do? He'll risk everything this way. But then again, who am I fooling? This will probably be my last time having any Miraculous.

The door opened, and I was shoved into the building. The crowd of people remained outside with their phones out and continued to record as much as they could of the bizarre scene. I was then dragged into the dark; I couldn't see anything.

Then, I heard his deep, chilling, cold voice. "Tie, her up. We wouldn't want her to escape, now would we?".

That was the last thing I heard before I was stuck in the head by something and felt light and dizzy. Suddenly everything went dark.

{Adrien's POV}

The nurse had just put a new IV fluids bag on the hanger and connected the tube to the container. I watched as the drops continued down their path into my veins.

She then mumbled, "Done." and walked out of the room. As I watched birds fly by the window, I heard my phone make a sound. I checked my notifications. It was from Alya! What did she need?

Alya: Adrien, check the news. Switch on your TV or open Twitter. It's urgent.

I immediately reached for the remote control and switched on the TV. As I switched through the channels, I was anxious and confused because I wasn't even sure what I was looking for.

Suddenly, I stopped when I saw Marinette in my costume. I looked at the picture and tried listening to the News Reporter. Luckily I knew a bit of Italian so I could catch onto what the reporter was saying. I began freaking out when I heard the name "Gabriel Agreste" and "Hawkmoth" in the same sentence. This seemed to be his big debut. He had revealed himself to everyone. The news flashed multiple images across the screen, showing the event from all sorts of angles. Then, the news report switched to a live stream of the scene. There were police cars stationed all over the building outside. They were trying to contain and calm the scared people while trying to enter.

The police department had classified this as a Hostage situation, but they had no clue what they were truly up against.

I began to panic and got up from my bed with pain. All my muscles were stinging, and I felt weak and nauseous. I started walking towards the door because I was the only one who knew anything. He was my father; maybe I could reason with him this time. It was unrealistic for me to try and fight with the wound I had on my back, but I needed to save Marinette. I needed to rescue her one way or another.

My knees felt shaky, and I almost collapsed onto the floor but managed to grab hold of the pole connected to my IV. Luckily, it had wheels so I could move around with it. I didn't know where my shoes were, but I didn't bother. I began walking across the large room towards my door. I could hear the tapping of my bare feet while I walked across the cold, marble floor.

The moment I reached the door and went for the door handle, the door burst open. I fell over and landed on my bottom. I felt more dizzy than usual but looked up to see the person who pushed me over. My vision was blurry but soon adjusted.

The person ran over to me and knelt over near me. "Adrien, I'm so glad I found you. There's not much time; we have to hurry.".
