I wondered how many of us decided to leave the group. We told each other we wouldn't get mad if someone left. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't hurt us. We have been together since day one, we became a family and were basically inseperable. Until now, of course. A lot of them would probably return back home, to their family.
I know it may sound selfish, but I really hope a lot of them decide to team up again. I grew very fond of them, I cared for them all.
I just hope that we could meet up for one last time, for a proper goodbye.

Clive and I arrived at the diner. I looked left and right, but no one was there. I was so dissapointed, I actually thought some of them would come. Clive looked dissapointed as well.
Suddenly, a familiar face came out of the restroom. It was Gabe.

He sat down and just when he was about to take a sip from his coffee, he saw us. A smile appeared on his face, just like on mine and Clive's. He sighed of relief, I think he was also afraid no one would show up. We walked towards him and he started to hug us. I'm glad Gabe is here. He may be a bit extreme, but I would miss him like crazy. We sat down and I could see the exitement in his eyes.

"For a minute I was afraid you guys wouldn't show up. I waited for two hours. Two." Gabe said laughing.
"Why did you wait for two hours? I thought you were going home to deal with your parents?" Clive asked him.
"Well, I was. But when I arrived, no one was home. Apparently my parents moved away two years ago and no one knows where they are now. Turns out they gave our house to me, the neighbor told me. She also handed me a letter, it was from my parents. She was supposed to give me the letter as soon as I got out." Gabe got out a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it over. Clive opened the letter and placed it on the table.

Gabriël

We decided to move away. Far away. The house is not the same like it used to be. We think the demon that possessed you left his mark on that house.
The house is yours, son. We are so sorry that you had to pay for our sins. We hope that you would take matters into your own hands and try to get rid off that demon that broke you.
You know who to call to free you from that evil spirit. Please, just do it.
Once that evil spirit left your body, come find us.
May God give you strength and lead you to the right way, Gabriël

Mother and father

Gabe's parents are very religious. He told me that his parents saw his gift as the Devil's work. They thought he was possessed by a demon. They blamed themselves for it, they thought it was God's way of punishing them for their sins.
Gabe thought it was a bunch of BS. His parents never understood how he got his powers, they never listened. When they witnessed Gabe using his powers a few times, they called an exorcist. I know, pretty messed up if you ask me. Anyway, Gabe managed to get rid off the exorcist a few times. His parents kept quit for him but after failing to 'get the demon out', they informed the police. They caught him when he was at school. An officer laughed in his face when he told him his parents turned him in. After that day, Gabe never forgave his parents. He even says he's gonna kill them, but I don't think he will do it but he could prove me wrong.

'Yeaah, that's what they said." Gabe said irritated. 'I mean, can you believe it? They still think I'm possessed. Like what year is this? 1783?" he said, he really had enough of it.
"Soo... Are you going to stay in your 'new' house?" I asked Gabe, trying to change the subject. He didn't feel comfortable talking about exorcism and stuff.
"No? Why would I live there when I've got a lakehouse which is a thousand times better?" He said while shaking the keys from side to side.
"You got the keys, good job." Clive said, he looked at the clock and sighed. "Look, it's almost 5:30pm. We leave at 6, with or without the others. After that, we need to find a car. That way we're faster. I'm fucking tired of walking the entire day." Clive said. I didn't really like the plan, I wanted to wait for the others. After all, we agreed on meeting 6pm. But he did have a point. They either come or not, we can't stay here any longer.
