Ashley and James were waiting for us up at the bar. With the biggest grin on my face, I bounced over to greet her and James. Jared handed me a water and I told her a little about what had been going on between Jared and I, sparing her the dirty details of how often we were having sex.

Ashley looked stunned at my confession, but beamed at Jared, who was all smiles as well. "Hey there, handsome. Glad to see you and my girl out together for a change." She gave him a wink.

"I'm hoping it stays this way." He responded, turning to speak to her date. "What's up James?"

Ash elbowed him. "It will as long as you treat her right and if you don't, I'm gonna have to kick your ass." Ashley threatened Jared, but in all honesty she couldn't hurt a fly. She was one of the sweetest people I had ever met. She turned her back to him and then spun around. "Damn, Jared you've already been recognized." She looked over at the two women giggling and pointing in our direction.

One was a brunette and the other was a blonde. They were both very pretty and both were obviously interested in my husband, but that wasn't extremely uncommon. He looked over at them and put his arm around me. "Fans, but if I ignore them, maybe they won't come over here." He looked at me. "You want a drink baby?"

"I'm not drinking tonight." Alcohol had been my go to when I was depressed and I was in way too good of a mood to drink.

He looked at me confused. "Really? Why?"

"Just not in the mood to drink tonight." Ashley and James were dancing and I wondered if those two would ever be anything more than friends. I knew she had the biggest crush on Shannon, but he had only seen her twice and I wasn't sure if he was even knew how she felt. He never showed any interest anyway.

James was a really nice guy, but he was too nice for Ash. She'd chew him up and spit him out before he even realized what was happening, kind of nice. Ash tended to be drawn to the bad boys, which is probably why we were such good friends. Jared only walked a few feet from me and those two women had already made their way over to talk to him. The brunette put her arm around him and I glared over in her direction, clearly annoyed. I could hear him, bidding them farewell as I seethed with jealousy. "Have a great night ladies,"

I wondered if I was crazy or if they were really flirting that hard. It was no secret that he was married and most of the echelon knew me. He sat down, pulling me back against him and I rolled my eyes, unable to control my annoyance with the two desperate looking women who were shooting daggers at me. "Hey, don't even look at them."

I knew I shouldn't have, but I mumbled a sarcastic remark aimed at him. The truth was, I was jealous and I had absolutely no reason to be. I never used to be this way and I hated what his cheating did to me.

"Hey!" he complained, grabbing my hand. "What's the problem?" I could tell by his voice that he didn't like my attitude.

Brushing it off, I decided not to allow them to ruin my night. "Sorry, it's nothing." I sipped on the water and watched Ashley and James having a good time. Jared complimented me on my dress and I could tell that he didn't want the evening to end in an unnecessary argument. Hell, I didn't either.

The air seemed to have cleared and Ashley returned, pulling up a chair next to me and asking about Emily. I giggled, telling her about Jared's glittery lipstick. Pulling up a photo, we had a good laugh and I had all but forgotten about the two flirty women from earlier. Sadly, they were laughing and pointing over at Jared and I. "Those two assholes over there are pissing me the fuck off. If that bitch points her fucking finger at me one more time, I'm going to jail."

Jared's grip on me tightened and he leaned in. "You most certainly will not. It doesn't matter what they think or say, I'm in love with you and I want you, not them." I knew that I had a jealousy issue and it didn't matter what Jared said, I couldn't help the way I felt now. I knew that he meant what he said, but I couldn't control my feelings anymore than he could control his. The bitches continued to glare at me and I knew that it was a matter of time before I snapped. The brunette whispered something to the blonde and they both giggled, but before I could bat an eye, Jared was practically dragging me across the club.
