This is probably Damon's search history^^
Third Person POV
"I don't like you sitting by yourself Damon."
"I'm a big boy I can handle it."
"But-"
"I'm not going where I'm clearly not wanted." He sighs.
"What?"
"The red head hasn't stopped staring since you've walked over here, I won't make things worse." He looks down at his hands. "Not this time." He mutters.
"Fine then, I guess I'll just stay with you." She pulls out a chair across from him.
"I didn't mean for you to choose, don't ditch your friends."
"Trevor wants me over here and Mikah... I don't really care what he thinks right now."
"I guess it's fine then." He rolls his eyes, sinking further into his seat.
"So, you wanna show me what you're reading?"
His eyes widen with hope and he slides the book towards her.
"Oh a comic book, cool!" She smiles as she glances over the pictures. "Tell me what it's about."
He couldn't understand the feeling in his chest but he enjoyed it. He was beyond happy (on the inside of course) that someone was genuinely interested in the things he liked. He hadn't had a real friend besides Joaquin since the fourth grade, that person also happened to be his only girlfriend.
He tried not to geek out completely as he explained the plot to her. She smiled the entire time, asking questions about the story, nodding once she understood. They even agreed to go out on a date, a friendly date of course.
It was a good day for both of them.
///
"Well stop being a bitch!" He barks.
"How can I when you act like an asshole every chance you get!"
"Fuck you!" He nudges past her in the other direction, getting lost in the crowd.
She sighs before sitting at one of the picnic tables, putting her hands on her head.
"What am I getting myself into?" She whispers to herself.
"Hey cheer up kid, you can't be sad, you're at a carnival!"
She looks up at the boy no older than her.
"Who are you callin' kid?"
"Oh I guess that is really silly, but still you need to cheer up." He smiles.
"Okay, I'll stop mopping. Hey I think I've seen you around school before, I didn't catch your name."
"Oh I'm Aiden, you?"
"Uh Lylah, nice to meet you."
They shake hands for a quick second before she felt something around her neck, making her stumble backwards. Damon had wrapped his arm around her.
"Back off, this one is mine."
Lylah hated the excitement building in her stomach.
"Hey it's okay, I have a girlfriend, well not really she's more like a friend that I'm crushing on." He rambles.
"Good then get lost." Damon jabs his thumb over his shoulder.
"Ignore him." Lylah elbows Damon in the stomach making him wince slightly.
"Actually I should get going, it was nice meeting you Lylah."
"Yeah see ya." She waves.
After he leaves, Damon drops his arm back to his side. Lylah turns towards him with a glare.
"So I'm yours huh?" She folds her arms over her chest.
"You know I was just messing around." He scoffs.
"What's your problem?"
"I was actually coming to apologize... then I saw that guy, I don't know I panicked."
"You mean you were jealous." A grin broke out on her face.
"Don't make me leave you here, you know I will."
"Sure." She rolls her eyes as she walks past him.
"Hey wait, where you goin' brat? Hey don't ignore me!" He stomps off after her.
"I'm getting me a bear."
///
"I still can't believe the guy just gave it to you, he should be fired. I mean you didn't even play the dumb game!" He rants.
"He probably wants to fuck me." She shrugs.
"What did you just say?" He growls at her.
"Nothing. It was nothing." She gives a soft laugh.
"That's what I thought."
"Besides, I only have one person on my list."
"Hm and who would that be?" His grimace turns into a playful gaze.
"Oh you wouldn't know him, he's a huge asshole, you'd probably hate him but man is he sexy." She squeezes the soft bear at her fantasy.
"Sounds familiar."
"Let's go in the funhouse!"
He grabs her hand before she could run off, almost like an imaginary leash to keep her close. He ignores the growing smile on her face, pulling his scarf up to his nose to cover his blushing cheeks as he led them into the entrance.
