Third Person POV
They were both breathing heavily on the floor, staring at each other with tension growing between them.
"That was..."
"Fun." She answers for him.
"Yeah... fun."
"Holy shit, what did I just walk in on?!" Joaquin trips over a pair of gloves.
They crawl away from each other at the sound of his voice.
"Would you relax, we were just training."
"Didn't look like it to me."
"We're still clothed idiot." Damon nudges his shoulder.
"Hm could have fooled me. You guys are definitely more than friends." He steps up into the ring.
"No just friends, look are you gonna teach her to kick box or not?"
"Yeah yeah."
///
"Wow you're getting good." Joaquin pats her shoulder. "If I didn't know any better I'd think you had practice before."
"Nope just beginner's luck I guess." She shrugs.
"Let's see how you do against me." Damon challenges her.
They circle around each other with smirks etched on their faces right before they fight. She was a good challenge but of course Damon won.
"Not bad." Damon holds his hand out for her.
"I'll beat you one day!" She takes his hand, rising to her feet.
"Go change and we'll grab something to eat." He slaps a towel over his shoulder.
Joaquin waits until she walks away before speaking. "Why does she want to fight all of a sudden?"
"I don't know, didn't care to ask." Damon shrugs as they enter the locker room.
"Right, you just wanted to see her in those shorts."
"No! Shut the fuck up!"
"Whatever, It's kinda risky bringing her here y'know."
"I checked to make sure everyone was gone, nothing bad is going to happen."
They change clothes and wait outside for Lylah to finish.
"What the hell is taking her so long?" Damon rolls his eyes.
"I'll knock." Joaquin pushes himself off of the wall and knocks on the door. "Hey you almost done in there?"
When they heard no response, they looked at each other with skeptical looks.
"Come on! You better not be putting on makeup or something stupid!" Damon bangs on the door, still no response.
"Did she go outside?" Joaquin suggests.
"I doubt it, I warned her not to leave without me earlier." He huffs. "Fuck it I'm going in." He pushes the door open and looks around for any sign of her.
"L-lylah?" He rushes over to her unconscious body laying on the floor. He hated that his first thought was her being sick.
///
Her eyes slowly open and she looks around noticing she was in Damon's room.
"Pull a stunt like this again and it will be the last thing you do."
"Dude she just woke up and the first thing she hears is you threatening her." Joaquin pushes the other boy to the side.
"What happened to me?" She lifts her hand to feel the wet cloth on her forehead.
"I don't know you tell me." Damon glares with his arms folded.
"I remember changing clothes and that was it. Honest."
"I need you to start taking care of yourself, I don't need this stress in my life."
"I think he's just telling you he was worried about you... in his own weird way." Joaquin translates.
"I'll do better." She nods.
"You better, next time I won't be so nice."
"Why do I have a hard time believing that?" The older boy smiles.
"What do you mean?"
"Ever since she popped into your life you've been less... I don't know violent."
"Oh please if anything I'm worse."
"Yeah sure."
After a while of talking to Lylah, Joaquin leaves the pair and Damon let his guard down a tiny bit. He sunk down next to her on the bed.
"I need you to be okay." He mutters.
"I will be, I probably just need to eat." She sighs.
He grabs her face, making her turn to look at him. "Don't let something like this happen again." He threatens again but with a softer tone.
She let out a meek okay before he smashes his lips onto hers. She pulls the towel away from her head and tangles her fingers in his hair. He pulls away from her soon after.
"I think that's enough demon." He chuckles at her needy whine.
"I don't think I'll ever be satisfied."
