Lylah's POV
His leg bounces and his left eye was twitching like a crazy person, it's quite hilarious.
"I remember this one time Damon stole one of the drummer's sticks, he was hiding in a corner chewing away like a pup." The dad cackles as he slaps his wife's thigh.
"That doesn't beat the time he started kicking while I was in the middle of flat ironing hair, I was so distracted I almost burned the poor girl."
"Should have signed the boy up for soccer."
"Nah wouldn't have worked- He's more into those video games." She shakes her head with a smile.
"Are you guys done?" The youngest cuts in.
"Sure, sure." The mother nods.
"If you don't mind me asking, how did you guys meet?"
"No!" Damon perks up next to me.
"Hush boy!"
"Long story short, we knew each other in highschool but things... just didn't work out. Then a few years later, I got hired as a stylist and he was a tour manager. Things have been amazing ever since." The woman gives her husband a high five.
"Right on!" He agrees.
"They forgot to mention they're stuck in their emo phase." The son mutters.
I look them over once more noticing the combat boots and messy hair. A few matching piercings could be seen as well.
They were hot. No doubt about it.
"I think you guys are cool!"
"He just doesn't understand rock n' roll won't ever die. Hey enough about us- what's goin' on between you an my boy?" He quirks an eyebrow just like his son.
"Nothing. She was actually on her way home."
"I didn't see a car, don't tell me you're makin' 'er walk? Boy I raised you better than that."
"It's okay sir, I'll catch the bus."
"Sure?" The mother questions.
"Positive." I nod and stand to my feet.
Darcy hugs me and whispers "He's a good boy, he'll do it- trust me on this."
"It was nice meetin' ya young lady!" Emmett gives me a good squeeze before I walk out the door.
I'm off down to the end of his street when I hear a loud car horn behind me. I look over to see Damon glaring up at me.
"Get in."
I shut the door and he presses down on the gas.
"I'm only doing this to get my mom off my case, and if you get assaulted it would fall back on me so just tell me where you live and chill."
I smile down at my lap as I give the directions.
Whether his reasoning was real or not, I'm enjoying the moment. I just wish I could get him to open up to me.
Ignoring him seemed to work in my favor at least a tiny bit. He may not exactly like me but it seems like he can't deny the attention.
How is he so reserved but his family is outgoing and fun.It doesn't make any sense.
But he's still perfect in my eyes.
