Damon's POV
"Go away."
"No."
"What is it gonna take for you to go away?"
"I just want to talk that's all." I reach for her arm but she slaps my hand away.
"You got fifty seconds before I yell rape at the top of my lungs."
Ouch.
I drop my gaze and clench my jaw at her words.
That bitch.
"Wait, I'm sorry I forgot about-"
"Shut up, just shut up." My nails dig into my palms as I turn away from her.
The thought of that day made bile rise up my throat. This girl seriously knows how to push my buttons. Why do I even try?
Accident or not, that's going to stick with me forever.
"I swear I wasn't thinking when I said that. I'm just stressed alright." She latches on to my shoulder. "Look, I'll tell you what happened."
"Finally." I scoff, turning back to face her.
"Long story short, that bitch was my mom- no birth giver. She claims she wasn't right in the head, but I think she just couldn't look at me because my sister died and I didn't." She shrugs casually as if it isn't a big deal anymore. Something was definitely off, she's being too nonchalant about the matter.
"Your sister? You didn't tell me about a sister?"
"Hm I guess you weren't the only one keeping a sibling secret, don't worry though it's nothing like your sob story, trust me. She died in the womb with moi, no biggie." She waves off. "Anywho, Sasha got knocked up with us pretty young, she was only like sixteen or seventeen, she got left behind by her college boyfriend and practically sold me at age seven to Trish." She looks unfazed on the outside but I could hear the grudge forming. "So now I hate the woman's guts for popping up in my life again out of nowhere and for giving me abandonment issues."
"Cut your mom some slack, she's had it rough from what you're telling me, she realized she couldn't take care of you and wanted you to have a good life. If you would have seen her at the hospital you'd underst-"
"Wait you've seen her?" Her eyes grow wide with curiosity.
"Uh yeah, she was so out of it. She even saw me on the phone with you, I didn't think anything of it because she kept calling you Luna or some shit like that."
"Hm interesting." She looks down at the gravel under her shoe for a moment. Once she looks back up at me, she smiles and claps her hands together. "Alright, c'mon lover boy!" She opens the passenger door.
Once again, her attitude changed so quickly.
"Where am I taking you?"
"Let's go to this little park I know." Her smile only grows at whatever she was thinking.
What was she planning?
