Secret Story 7 - First Day as a Student Teacher

Today is my first day as a student teacher. After the students lead me inside the school I make my way to the staff room.

"My name is Akiko Kirusawa I'm the physical education teacher and you'd be teaching in my class now, Miss Neyane. I'll show you to your classroom." Said one of the Ms. Kirusawa after reviewing my papers.

"Okay! Th-thank you!"

I'm a barrel of nerves as I follow behind Ms.Kirusawa to her homeroom.

(Calm down, I'm so nervous! I just know I'm going to mess everything up!)

(I wish Mina was here...)

I feel uneasy, and Mina's face come to mind.

(But there's no way he's here right now...)

(Alright! No more of this weak attitude! I can do this!)

We have just arrived at the class I will be observing.

"Here we are, Please introduce yourself to the class."

"A-alright."

The teacher opens the door, and...

(Whoa...)

The classroom is filled with children sitting at their desk. The teacher stands before the class and all eyes are suddenly on us.

"Good morning everyone, We have a new student teacher today, This is Miss Miyoko Neyane."

I take a step forward at her introduction.

"M-my name is Miyoko Neyane! I'll be here to teach you for a while."

"I hope to get to know each and every one of you!"

Then one of the students suddenly raise her hand and stood up firmly.

"Neyane?! Like the interstate karate-do chamption?!"

"Oh! Y-yeah!" (I'm surprised someone recognize me.)

Awes and cheered roared can heard from the entire classroom. Ms.Kirusawa look at me in surprise but immediately regain her composure clap her hand once to silence her class.

"I want to be just like you when I grow up!" said one the girl wearing huge glasses.

"Yeah me too!"

This topic gets the children excited.

(I...I like the atmosphere in here...)

The tension releases from my shoulders, seeing how much fun the children are having.

The students ask me question after question.

"Miss, what foods do you like?" asked the girl with a twin tail.

"Omelet."

"What about foods you hate?" asked the boy in the back row.

"Ahahaha, I like all foods!"

"Even vegetables?!" wondered one of the kid with a snot dripping down his nose

"Yes eating veggies would make you strong so you should eat your veggies okay." I answered cheerfuly.

Then out of nowhere...

"Do you have a boyfriend, miss?"

"Errr..."

That question has me stumped.

(I can't really talk about my love life as a teacher, right?)

Or so I thought, but...

"What's your boyfriend like? He must be strong as well?"

"I bet his strong since he's the boyfriend of an interstate champion." Said another

"He's strong and super reliable." I said with a smile.

"He's really clever and kind and sometimes pretty cute..."

I didn't notice I was being chatty about how awesome my boyfriend is when I realize the classroom falls silent.

(Ah! Now I've done it!)

Ms.Kirusawa clears her throat as I shrink back along the platform.

Thinking I messed up completely, when...

"W-wow he might be a super hero!"

"Eh?"

"You must have the ultimate boyfriend miss!"

"Uh...Right?"

"Can your boyfriend transform too, I bet his like Kamen Raider Super!"

"Uh..um.." (that must have been the new airing masked super hero the kids are watching these days.)

"Is he really strong in battle?"

"Yes, he's the strongest in the world!"

"Whoa!"

"Cool!"

"I want to meet him!"

"Ahahaha...maybe one day." I blushed profusely

Things seem to have worked out okay...Ms.Kirusawa takes this moment to gesture to me.

"Well, that was an interesting introduction, Miss Neyane, can you please take a seat at the back so you can observe the first lesson?"

"Y-yes, alright!"

I move to the back, sighing in relief.

(I just made Mina to be some kind of a super-boyfriend...)

(But they seemed to enjoy it, so all's well that ends well I guess..)
