I walked along the rock path.

Shizuka asked me to meet him near the main training grounds. We had three training grounds. The smallest to train the Sylphee, the medium sized for anyone who wishes to train and the biggest for the squads, we called it the main training grounds.

I got to the grounds and saw him, leaning against the rocks. I went up to him.

"Hey Shi, what's up?" I asked, ruffling his hair.

"Stop that." He said, smiling.

"Okay, okay. So what's that preoccupied look on your face? What'd you do this time?" I asked him.

"What do you mean, this time?" He looked at me with a pout. I chuckled, so he shook his head.

"I'm sorry, please don't kill me, but-" he started.

"Woah, woah, woah, there. Who said I'd kill you? The heck?" I cut him off.

"Okay, okay. Please don't be mad but I may have made that Sylphee you captured hate me." He said.

"That's not surprising, go on." I replied, smiling.

He was so different with me than with other people. Probably because of that incident. He's like my little brother, except we're not related by blood.

"Well I said some shit" he started before I cut him off, again.

"Precise, please, because 'some shit' won't explain." I said.

"Okay, so I saw this dude in the cell next to three girls but whatever. I told him guys weren't cool 'cause they don't scream and she got insulted." He precised.

I laughed.

"I bet she replied loudly, basically non proving her point." I said, still chuckling.

"Yeah.. but that's not what I did wrong... I kinda, maybe told her that if I didn't respect you I would've killed her..." he said, fumbling with his shirt.

"Holy hell, she probably thinks you're a first class moron." I said shaking my head.

"You're dissapointed, aren't you?" He asked shyly.

"No, Shi. That's just what... it... did to you." I said, messing with his hair again.

"Why can't I just get over it and be a normal person?" He asked in despair. I knew we already had that exact conversation, but he only needs to be remembered sometimes.

"It's hard to get over such a thing, Shi. I know that you fulfilled your revenge, but it's hard to trust anyone after that. You may never get over it, but you need time. Of course, it will be hard to completely trust anyone. After what he did to you but... I believe in you. Take your time, Shi."

Shizuka got raped at the age of ten. After, his agressor left him in the house, and set fire to it. That was in a bad sector of the overgrounds. A sector I decided to visit alone, at barely twelve. A sector where I saw a burning house and heard cries from inside. A sector where I put my fears away and got the young, crying boy out in the open. A sector we never visited again. Because of that, I was the only person he trusted.

"Alright..." He mumbled. "Maybe you should check up on your Sylphee." He said, cheering up a bit and smirking.

"She's not mine. I'm just the one who caught her." I argued.

He chuckled and nodded.

"Anyway it's training time." I added when he didn't say anything.

"Okay. I'll give you that." He replied.

"Oi, let's fight!" I told him. He smiled brightly.

"Hell ya!"

We stepped away from each other and let out our wings. Mine were a deep, dark purple colour, while his were a white as pure as an angel's. I also unshielded my sword. He took his and we smiled at each other.

He attacked first and I easily blocked and flew upwards. I went down and threw my sword down. He barely dodged it.

"Someone's been lacking on training." I teased, while our swords clanged together.

"More like someone's been training awfully lots lately." He replied. "We never see you inside."

I smiled and let my energy fill my sword. I knew everyone would feel the energy radiating, but I didn't care. I saw Shi do the same.

We both launched frontwards and let our swords hit with a loud clang.

I attacked as soon as he left an opening and hit him with the bold side of my weapon.

He stumbled backward but quickly regained his composure and flew up a bit. I followed him imediately. We were face to face up in the air. I felt much stonger feeling my element all around. I saw Shi experience the same thing by the smirk on his face. We stayed unmoving for a few seconds before going frontwards once more. He slached my arm and immediately pulled his sword away.

"Sorry dude." He said, smiling victoriously.

"It's alright." I said, my ego hurting a little.

"I feel like your ego probably hurts more than your arm." He said, laughing.

"Yea.."

I switched my sword from my wounded arm to my non hurt one. Perks of being ambidextrous.

Shizuka jerked forwards and tried hitting the same arm again. Sensing his attack, I quickly blocked him and let my energy flow. He flew backwards and onto the ground, where he landed with a thud. I spinned down to attack him, but he rolled out of my reach at the last second. We attacked and counter-attacked for a few more minutes, until I hit him again, making him fall to the ground.

I wasted no time and jumped down, straddling him, and pressed my sword to his throat.

"I win." I simply stated.

"One day, I'll beat you." Shi said, smirking viciously.

"And I completely believe you." I replied, getting off him and helping him up.

It's just at that moment that I felt stares from behind us. I turned around and saw that a few Captains and a lot of Haites were crowded. I also noticed that next to Captain Watsuki and Captain Hana were all our prisoners, chained together and looking at us as well. Shi and I both froze and glanced at each other anxiously.
