Chapter 14

     A/N:OH MY GOD!! We just hit the 500 reads mark! Thank you to the readers out there that read my story and kept coming back for more! Okay, and now to Chapter 14

     (Typing on computer, so the Chapter might be a little wonky, sorry!)

     Mara woke up slowly.

     Where the hell am I? She thought.

     She opened her eyes slowly, letting them adjust to the bright lights.

     She realized she was in a hospital room. She felt something touching her wrist. She glanced over to see a nurse checking her pulse and all that stuff. Then she realized...

     Wait? Is that.....

     Oh my god it is! Mara yanked her hand away from the human nurse.

     "Don't touch me!" She shouted.

     "Mara calm down!" Mara heard a familiar voice exclaim.

     "Alan!" Mara exclaimed."Where are we?!"

     Alan crouched beside the bed and took her hand."I did the only thing I could think of doing. You're in a human hospital at the main base of Los Duenos del cidos."

     "Of what?" Mara asked.

     "It's Spanish for the Rulers of the Sky."

     "That's right." A husky voice said from the doorway.

     When Mara looked over, she saw a man of about 6'7" standing there, leaning against the doorway. He had a deep tan and his large muscles were very visible. He had black hair, wore sunglasses, and had a red bandana tied over the bottom half of his face.

     "Who the hell are you?" Mara snapped.

     The man laughed.

     "This is your only warning little..... thing. Don't play with me. The next time you disrespect me, I might have to cut that pretty little tongue out."

     "Oh lay off." A women stepped through the door. She was about 5'11" and was tan like the man. She wore a pair of regular glasses and had a bandana tied over her long black hair that flowed over her shoulders.

     "Allow me to introduce myself," the woman said."My name is Rosalina and this is my twin brother El Patron."

     "What's his actual name?" Mara asked.

     Rosalina shrugged."Nobody knows, not even me."

     "Enough talk." El Patron said.

     "Patron, calm down." Alan said.(Most people called El Patron "Patron" for short.)

     "You promised me answers on what the fuck that," Patron points a finger at Mara." thing is. I'm giving precious resources to keep it alive and I want to know why. Tell me everything you know or it and you DIE!" Patron shouted the last word.

     "She's an In-"

     "I'm and Inkling you stupid bastard. Oh, and say "SHE" when you talk about me. I'm not a fucking it." Mara snarled, interrupting Alan.

     Patron looked ready to kill Mara right there and then.

     Alan placed himself between Mara and El Patron.

     "Sentient," Patron said."Whatever it is, it's about to pay for the disrespect it just directed towards me. Not now, not tomorrow, but soon."

     Rosalina put a hand on Patron's shoulder."No she won't. Calm down brother."

     Patron looked at his twin sister, giving her that "really bitch" look.

     Reluctantly. Patron took a deep breath and said calmly,"Alan. Come, we need to talk." He walked out without another word.

     Alan sighed and looked at Mara."Sorry," he said."To say no would be a death wish."

     Alan hugged Mara, but before they separated Mara kissed Alan on the cheek and said,"Don't die or I'll bring you back to life and kill you. And thanks, for everything."

     Alan stood up and started following Patron, smiling ear to ear. Rosalina smiled and rolled her eyes. Patron shouted,"Hurry up Alan!"

     "Hurry back!" Mara said as the door shut behind Alan.

     I think he likes me. Mara thought as the nurse continued her checkup.

     "Did they escape?"

     "Yes sir Mr. Harper."

     "Good, good. And is the device transmitting?"

     "The bullet protected the device and it's transmitting it's location perfectly, just as planned.

     "Excellent. Give them 3 days, then send my Elite forces to the devices location."

     "Yes sir."
