I can't wait for my vacation. Mara thought to herself as she walked. She was ready to get a break from the dumb Octarians. She was excited to be able to play Turf War again.

Now THAT will be a fun challenge! Mara thought. She would definitely do Ranked too, 'cause she knew that's where the Hardcore and skilled Inklings are.

Suddenly, Mara heard some rustling in the forest to her left. Mara froze and stared in that direction. She narrowed her eyes, zooming in on the situation, trying to see any type of movement.

She saw none, and continued walking. Probably just some forest animal passing by. She thought.

Aiden(you can hear him but you can't see him) says,"This is where our tale REALLY begins."

Suddenly a figure lurches out of the forest. Being caught by extreme surprise, Mara shrieks and drops her Charger and falls on her butt.

The figure stops. Mara immediately realizes that it's not of her kind. Could it be? She thought.

It was a human boy. About the same age as Mara based on his looks. But his clothes were torn and red ink was all over his body.
He looked at Mara then falls to his knees and collapses.

Mara realizes he passed out for some reason. Mara cautiously approached the boy. Once closer, here was no denying that this was a human. He had regular hair. It was a dark brown color.

Mara crouched down on her knees next to him.

"Hey! Are you okay?" She asks him. When he doesn't respond she pokes him arm with a stick.

When there's still no response, she realizes that she has to touch him. She rolls him on his back quickly, then springs away from him like a cat, expecting some sort of response.

When there's still none, she gets back on her knees beside him and shook his arm.

"Are you alright dude?" She asks him again. When there's still no response she stops and takes a good look at him.

He had light tan skin and he was skinny, but not flesh and bones skinny. He was wearing a strange shirt that was a mix of green, brown, and black and was wearing a pair of blue jeans.

But the strangest thing was he had several places that leaked red ink.

Mara wanted some answers. Now. So she did the one thing that almost always worked when it comes to waking people up.

She slaps the shit out of him.(On he face for the sick fucks out there.)

The boy springs up.

"Hey what the fu--!" he stops mid-sentence when he sees Mara. She had sprung back with a cry of surprise when he sprang up and had fallen on her butt again. She scooted away from him as fast as she could.

"What are you?" He asks.

"I was going to ask the same question!" Mara spat. She was furious that she got visibly scared twice. And the second time, someone saw her! She stood up and looked down at the boy.

The boy tried to stand up, but fell to his knees with a cry of agony.

"All anger left Mara at that point," Aiden said."She realized that something was seriously wrong with him. She felt..... sympathetic."

"Who are you?" She said. She wanted to ask what's wrong but she wanted to know who she was about to help.

"Alan," the boy says."Call me Alan."

"And you are?" Alan asks.

"Agen--" Mara stops and thinks for a moment then says,"Mara. Call me Mara."

"Nice to meet you Mar-." Alan starts coughing violently and spits out a glob of red ink.

"What's with the red ink?" Mara asks.

Alan looks up at her.

"What the fuck do you mean red fucking ink?!" He shouts. Bad decision, he almost blacks out again but manages to stay awake.

"It's called blood! Not ink. I'm gonna die if I can't stop its flow."

"Alan was right. He was dying," Aiden says, remaining unseen."But he doesn't know the extent of his injuries."

"Why do you need to stop it?" Mara asks."And why are you losing blood in the first place?"
Alan growled in frustration.

"I have no time to explain! I need a doctor!" He exclaimed.

Mara knew she couldn't reveal this human's presence to the rest of the Inklings. She shivered as she thought of what their scientists might do to him.

"Well, your not gonna find a doctor out here," Mara says.

"Come on, get up." She tells Alan.

Alan tries to stand up, but he starts blacking out again and almost falls on his face, but Mara catches him.

When they Mara makes contact with Alan, she feels a little..... zing. What the heck? She thinks.

Alan gets a weird feeling when the contact was made too. He felt like a small shiver go down his spine and Mara wraps her arm around his shoulders to keep him on his feet.

"I've lost allot of blood," Alan says dizzily."It's killing me slowly and painfully."

"Well I can see that." Mara remarks.

Mara plans to take him back to her place and doctor him there. She lives alone on the outskirts of Inkopolis, so she knew she could get home without being seen.

The walk there was long. Alan was drifting in and out of consciousness and Mara was struggling to keep him on his feet.

When they arrived at Mara's home, Alan very pale and his breathing was shallow.

This is it. He thinks. This is how I die. Mauled by a fucking bear.

He looks over at Mara.

At least I get to die beside this beautiful girl. He thinks.
"YOU'RE NOT GONNA DIE!" Mara exclaims.
"Alan won't learn this until later, but what he 'thought', he actually said aloud." Aiden says."Which was why Mara's blushing."

And indeed she is, her cheeks being a deep red. She rushes him inside.

Mara puts Alan on the couch and sprints to her bathroom to get some towels and rags.

"Hold on!" Mara shouts at him."Don't you die on me!"
Alan tries to speak, but he can't.

The last thing Alan hears before he blacked out was,

"Hang on! Just hang on please! Please don't die on me!"

After that, darkness.

                             O_O
