The darkness was surreal, from the curtains, the silver moonlight was slowly sinking the room into a pearl blue color.

I felt my emotions swinging like a pendulum,

hope then despair,

will to live then will to end it all

I sat up, back against the bed, looking at my hands. The room was messed up, bed sheets crumbled, the tablets scattered on the floor, the glass shreds poking into my skin, then I noticed something, shoes left beside the window.

I swiftly turned my neck, scanning the bedroom, even when my body was in pain

A part of me wanted it to be true, that 'Moon' had come, and the other part knew that I was living in a strange oblivion, I was trying to be sober in this drunk world.

A figure sat at the side of the bed, it slowly rose up and I whispered, voice as pale as the waning moonlight,

"Moon?"

It came closer, a little more, until it slowly caressed the blood clot on my elbow and I felt a shiver, a soft wave of surprise traversed through my body.

I looked up and saw the figure, sit beside me, I did not want to see his face, I did not want to see his eyes, I did not want to look at those lips which can paint the most beautiful smile, I just wanted him to be with me, I wanted him to sit, for time to stop.

"Hey.."His deep voice spoke up.

"Hmm...'I was unable to speak.

"so you re awake now?" His voice was a melody, which touched my soul.

I was thankful that he had come but ended up saying in an offended tone,"Why are you here?"

"I wanted to know you better..."A pause,"NO! NO!" His subtle, mature voice turned childish as he yelped,"I mean, i was worried about the blood and all..." he ruffled his hair and perhaps embarrassment had turned his cheek pink.

"But.."His eyes were the palest shade of brown, he squinted and his hands touched mine again. I knew another flame had sparked in my heart, I knew now that the euphoria I felt from cutting myself, was fake it was nothing but an illusion.

"Why?" he whispered, sorrow lacing his voice.

I looked away, so i would not face him.

"WAIT!"He suddenly said and rose up from his position, springing up all of a sudden.

"What?" I asked, alerted.

"Ill bring the bandages."He said.

I was quiet, until I realized, that glass had adorned the floor and I quickly rose up, yelling,"Hey don't! MOON!" but my numb legs dragged me towards the ground.

"huh?"He turned back and it sounded like a groan escaped from his lips. He looked down, perhaps at the glasses down below and I got hold of his hand.

"Are you hurt?"I asked.

"maybe?"He said and looked into my eyes. His eyes were so pretty, I was almost scared to look at them, I knew they were capable of sinking me into them. His face was ethereal, traced by the silver moonlight in my dark room, and at that moment I was proud, that he was MY MOON.

My moon, who would shine in all adversities,

My moon, who was the light in this never-ending darkness

"Did you call me Moon?" He asked, head tilted slightly.

"N..no..."I stuttered like an idiot.

"Its okay, its an honor actually,"He chuckled. "I am nothing like the moon."

I nodded, as ,if I open my mouth, an array of confused emotions would spurt out and nothing else, but internally I whispered how he was my moon, how looking at him for a single night made me realize,

I could smile, just because of him.

"I did not know your name, so..."I almost hummed those words.

"Jaemin."He smiled,"Na jaemin, call me that, and yours?"

"Ember."I said and smiled back.

"I said and smiled back
