"Jaemin-ahh!!" I yelled into the fog in front of us, while he pushed my wheelchair at full throttle, running through the forest.

The night was dark and cold, the clouds seemed to hover near the ground, looking like spectres and we ran through the mist and the candle-lit scenery, through the trees and autumn leaves.

We ran towards our escape...

"Where are we going??" I held the wheelchair tight, adrenaline rushing through my body, and I wasn't able to control my laughter .

"I have no idea!!" He yelled loudly, his voice echoing through the forest.

"Wooohoooooo" I raised my hand up, feeling the strong wind brush past me, the air dancing on my skin. I was drunk with all the happiness and I screamed louder and louder.

"You are gonna make some wild animal chase us!" Jaemin said and started laughing.

"I DONT CARE!!" I screamed, feeling the sir rush into my lungs, followed by our chuckles and smiles.

We went past the dirt road, our ghost town, the church and he started slowing down.

"Seriously where are we going?" I asked, intoxicated with this beautiful sensation.

"To the end...."

"End?" I turned at him.

"The other end of the forest...." He smiled the softest smile ever.

The bitter wind made me shiver and I clutched my seat tighter smiling and said, "Let's goooo"

After running a long away, in the brink of night, accompanied by the chirping of songbirds, past the obscure landscape, Jaemin suddenly stopped and whispered,"Em!"

"Hmm"

"Look up...."

I did.

It was a dark blue palette, dazzling and burning with thousands and thousands of shimmering stars. Everywhere my eyes went, they were there, admist the darkness, glowing, like us, two waning humans, trying their hardest to smile, shining in this darkness.

"Oh....my....God...." I was left speechless and Jaemin whispered,"Here we are Em....didn't you always want to see this?"

I could feels tears stinging my eyes, blotting my vision, overwhelmed with happiness, and I stretched my eyes open, to not miss a second, to look at this star-studded sky.

"Aren't they just like us?" I whispered,  chuckling midway and Jaemin nodded,"but...." he whispered.

Who thought a paralyzed girl like me will find her utopia, will want to live her life more than ever.

"The bigger surprise is still left...." Jaemin did not give me a second to recover but ran past everything to the other end of the forest.

I screamed and he did too, excited and scared because of the rush.

I closed my eyes shut, both of us laughing and screaming, singing with a horrible, high-pitched tune into the night.

Jaemin stopped, his breath caressing my shoulders and then said, within his short gasps,"Open your eyes...."

And there was the Moon....

I had read about it, that from the horizon the Moon looks bigger but...

We stood almost, near the end of the forest and through the cleft and gaps of the trees, I saw it..

It was huge, unreal, with cracks and crevices, still shining. It almost felt like I could touch it, like the galaxy was within my arm's reach. It was subtle yet so beautiful. With brushes of white and gray, emanating light.

I had once wanted to reach it, the other end, with the stars and the cosmos, and now I had reached it, the end where I found Jaemin...

My eyes overflowed with tears, caressing my cold cheek and chapped lips, my hands trembled.

In the frost-bitten forest, when the wind blew past us, when we laughed under the stars and  the moon, I looked at my moon

And he smiled at me,

Pale, waning,

But, burning iridescently...

His smile made butterflies dance in my stomach, the way it danced when I first met him,

The pearl-blue moonlight dancing on him, on us,

And I knew,

I had found my Home, my reason to Live....

With him.
