July

Aaron took me to see Dalton and the boys off before they left for their flight. I told him it was for all of them but we both knew I didn't care about anyone else but Dalton.

At the airport, I texted Dalton that I was here, and he replied telling me to stay put where I was and he would find me. When Dalton rounded the corner alone I glanced at Aaron.

"Fine!" He put his hands up in defense. "I'll go get a coffee. I don't even want a coffee but I know when I'm not wanted."
Dalton made it to me, beaming. He was always beaming, not smiling, beaming. As if there is no way he could be happier.

"Hi."

"Hi," I responded almost breathlessly.

"I wish I could stay longer."

"Me too. I know you were only here for a weekend but...I liked having you here." I look at my feet and start to rock.

"Where are the other guys?" I ask suddenly remembering other people were leaving beside Dalton. "I should thank them again."

"I liked being here with you too. Umm, they are waiting at security for me. I told them I wanted to say goodbye."

"Oh well, they could have come with. I should probably thank Will and Cayden for coming to my show."

Dalton takes a step towards me. "I wanted to say goodbye alone." His face turns into a slow smile.

"Oh?" I ask. Then it hits me. "Oh!" I lower my voice "Um, oh."

He beams at me. "I'll call you when I get my new schedule."

I clear my throat, "I'll call you when I get mine."

He nods and takes another step. He lets go of his bag and puts his hand on my cheek. I feel an electric shock hit my body and instead of pulling away, I lean into it. Into him. He looks from my lips to my eyes, and I smile at him. He leans in, I feel like the world is spinning in slow motion.

"Hey!"

I don't move but Dalton drops his hand from my cheek. "Hey," Dalton responds. Even though his hand retreated his body hasn't and I'm thankful. I wonder if I can make Aaron go away for another couple of minutes.

I turn my head to see my brother and blink at him. "Hey, can you get me a coffee?" I try to sound like it's no big deal, but it comes out a little too airy.

"Oh," He thrusts the one in his hand towards me. "I didn't want it anyways. I got it the way you like it though." I stare at my older brother trying to tell him telepathically to get lost. The moment is crushed when Dalton's flight is announced to leave in twenty minutes.

"I have to go." He whispers.

I feel my body start to deflate. "Okay," I respond in the same tone.

"I'll text you when I land, but I got you something." He gets into his bag and pulls out a necklace glancing at my brother. It's a circle with a black circle in the middle. It has the numbers wrapped around it. "It's the day we met." I smile at the necklace.

"Why?" Aaron asks annoyed.

He doesn't take his eyes off of me. "Because it says things I don't know how to say. Can I put it around your neck?" I nod and he beams. I turn around all while Aaron watches. I shoot him an annoyed glance and he simply smiles at me. Dalton moves my hair away from my neck and puts the necklace on me, as he does his fingers lightly brush my skin a shock runs through my body. I turn and look at him. "Do you like it?" When I nod he grabs my waist and pulls me into a hug. I squeeze his neck breathing in his smell.
