"You know what? I'm going back to the house. I change my mind."

"No way! You look amazing!"

"But I..."

"No buts! We'll be late."

This was Kelsie and I on Monday morning. She passed by to make sure everything was okay and I wore what we had agreed on the previous day as we got our hair done.

"Fine then. Let go of me." I pulled away.

We got in the car and drove to school. She parked the car outside the school compound.

"Why are we parking here?"

"It's for your grand entrance! How else will people see the new and transformed Kristie?" She replied.

"But first..." she took out her perfume and puffed me with it.  I almost chocked on its scent.

We had arrived fifteen minutes to first period. I stopped at the entrance. Kelsie noticed.

I moved one step backwards. Kelsie moved two steps back and smiled. The next thing I knew I was in the hallway. Kelsie had pushed me inside.

I had to fix the moment of confusion before anyone noticed. Kelsie walked in. We then walked in the middle of the hallway towards our lockers to get our books.

"Who's the new girl?"

"Are those grey eyes?"

"She looks familiar."

This is what I could hear as I removed my books from my locker.

"See you over lunch." Kelsie told me then left.
I took a deep breath then closed my locker.

As I walked to my class for the first period I noticed everyone was staring at me. I could only keep calm and pretend not to notice.

I got into class and headed for my usual sitting position, the back seat at the corner.

"You could seat next to me." Brad, a kid in my class,  told me.

"Naah that seat is taken. This one is empty," Harry said patting the seat next to him.

"I like the back seat better," I told them as I walked away.

"I could join you," they both said.

I laughed at them as I shook my head. I unpacked my books getting ready for the English class. At least I'd gotten the hang of it compared to the class I had about five months ago.

The lessons went on well except Chemistry and Math where I was told to introduce myself since the teachers thought I was new.

"Surely I still look like myself right?" I asked Kelsie over lunch.

"Uh... yeeeah " she said before sipping her cold milk as she looked to see if I believed her sarcastic reply.

"Kelsie..."

"Of course not. You're basically foreign! Even people in my class asked about the 'new kid' I was walking with in the morning," she laughed.

"Don't mind if I join you new kid," Lindsey said sitting at our table.

"Lindsey, you too..."

"It's what I heard; but I really like this transformation."

"Especially the grey eyes."

  "Yeah! They are so captivating,"

"You both realize they were due to a very embarrassing incident..." they looked at me remorsefully,
"...in form of a blessing!" I finished.

"That's whats up!" Kelsie exclaimed.

"I have to get going. Kelsie will you accompany me to the drama club meeting today?"

"...sure thing..." she said trying to figure out why.

"Great!" I smiled. I only have two periods left which went on really fast.
Kelsie passed by my class because both Harry and Brad wanted to walk  me out so I was basically stuck in there.

I was late. I arrived after everyone else.

"Kristie?" Mr. Paisely said as if to confirm if it was me really.

"It's good you have arrived now let's get to work."

"Actually sir," I began, "I have decided to quit."
Everyone looked in my direction.

"I just can't continue being in the same environment with toxic people. Good luck at the competitions. I hope you win."
There was a moment of silence. I turned to leave.

"Kristie I think you should think about it first," Terrence tried to reason out with me. "We only have three weeks to the competitions and you are our main actress!"

"Let her leave," Mr. Paisely said. I could see the disappointment in his eyes.

"But it's not fair. This decision affects all of us!" Paige said in distress.

Mr. Paisely remained silent. He walked to his office.

"Kristie think about this first. If I knew this was your plan I wouldn't have supported it," Kelsie told me.

"I've thought about it for too long Kelsie. My decision is final. Let's go.

"You know Lindsey will be against this too Kristie!" She said as we walked down the hall way, "She'll go nuts!"

"Kelsie please. You know how much those people in there have hurt me. I mean, I'm even the grey blob! Enough is enough."

"Wait, who told you that?"

"I'm trending as the grey blob. I know you know this."

"No... Kristie..."

"I wonder. Did you know about the grey bomb? Did Chris tell you anything? You're pretty close."

"What? Of course I didn't know about it. I could have told you. And for your information I stopped talking to Chris after I realised what he and Dale did!" Kelsie said in shock, "How could you doubt me?"

I remained silent.

"You know what? Call me when you trust me enough!" She marched off.

"That leaves me in a mess. No ride home and an angry friend." I thought to myself.

"Hey can you give me a ride home?" I asked a guy I had never met before.

"Yeah... okay," he said.

Then again... life had become a whole lot easier!
