DALE'S POV

Have you ever been so bored you make prank calls to random numbers? No? Well, I'm currently doing just that. I love to have a good laugh sometimes and just live a happy, easy life. Although life right now wasn't easy.

Kristie will soon go back to Poland so that would automatically place me back in the pool of singles. This meant I needed a new replacement and I had already begun making new connections with a certain someone.

My phone vibrated twice and then I saw a notification. It was Kelsie's text.

SOS
Sera's Coffee House.

I grabbed my jacket and headed there straight away. It took me a few minutes to get there. I found her seated alone with a mug in her hand. She was talking to someone on the phone.

I sat next to her quietly after I ordered some hot chocolate. She got off the phone.

"I got here as soon as I could. What's the emergency?"

Kelsie ignored me as she made yet another call. Ouch. My hot chocolate arrived and I was sipping on it looking at Kelsie.

"I need a ride," she said after her last call.

"That's the emergency? You used 'SOS' and I came here to give you a ride?"

"Please!! Just trust me okay? Time is running out." She stood up and went to the parking lot.

"I haven't even finished my hot chocolate yet!" I took a last sip and followed Kelsie quickly. I realized that she was standing next to the driver's side.

"NO. I'm not letting you drive."

"We need to get there fast. I can drive faster."

Yeah in your own car. Where was her car anyways?

I looked at my sweet ride. Never had I ever let anyone drive it, not even Chris.

"Come on Dale! Hurry!"

"Fine!" I said hesitantly, throwing her the keys.

The drive was uncomfortable. I don't remember the last time I was in a co-driver's seat. More importantly, never have I been driven by a GIRL. That was outrageous.

"Where are we going?" I asked her.

"No time to talk. I need to concentrate!"

"Of course. Girls couldn't do both."

Kelsie looked at me viciously.
"You're so ungrateful. I'm doing this for you and..."

"You missed the stop sign!" I yelled. We almost collided with a huge truck but Kelsie missed it by a whisker. We ended up at the side of the road.

"The next time you disturb me we'll both end up in the hospital, understand?" I nodded half scared to death.

The rest of the ride was silent. No one spoke.

We got to the city and Kelsie parked outside a grand skyscraper with two gargoyles holding a yellow flame.

"Stay out," she said shortly before running out of the car and locking it to make sure I stayed inside. She than ran into the skyscraper.

"This girl is in sane!" I said, brushing my fingers through my hair in distress. She came back faster than I thought she would. She had a folder in her left arm and she was breathing heavily. She quickly started the car then we left.

Letting her drive was the worst decision I ever made. I felt my life was in danger and I had no where to run. I even thought of calling my mom to say goodbye before I became nonexistent. She kept the folder on her thighs as she drove.

I tried taking it to see what was inside but she hit my hand and said, "You nosy, nosy boy!"

"I'm just going to take a nap then." I had enough of this crazy girl. I mean, she raided my car, put me in the co-driver's seat and up to now I did not know what was going on.

I looked outside the window because looking at the other side would only start a war that I'd lose. Hold on...

"Isn't this Kristie's neighborhood?"

"Yeah it is."

I saw Kristie carrying a huge box and loading it into their car. Kelsie parked the car a meter behind. I felt relieved now that the wacky ride was over.

Kelsie took a black marker from the dashboard and scribbled something on the folder. I heard a knock on the window. It was Kristie asking me to open it.

"Dale? Kelsie? What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I... Don't know?" Well that sounded dumb.

Kelsie got out of the car and banged the door hard.

"Careful with that!" I said, also getting out of the car.

"Since both Dale and I don't want you to leave and make our lives miserable, we're here."

"Well I've already loaded everything in the car and my dad sold Lindsey. We're leaving in an hour."

"Maybe this might turn things around," Kelsie said handing Kristie the folder.

"Oh so she gets to see what's inside?" I whispered angrily.

"Shut up!" Kelsie whispered back hitting my gut, thereafter she shook her hand in pain.

"Plan B?" Kristie read aloud.

"Yes!" Kelsie said clapping happily, "Open it!"

"I can't read all of it right now but I promise I will first thing when I get on the plane."

"No way. Please read the first one then," Kelsie pleaded.

"She'll be late for her flight," I said.

She took a look at the first one which was the most outstanding. She read it for a minute then she looked at us. She read it again then she froze like a beautiful mannequin.

"NO WAY!!" She exclaimed in disbelief.

"Yes sis!!" Kelsie shrieked.

"Is this the last prank before I leave?" Kristie asked.

"What is it? What's going on?" I asked.

"It's not a prank. Believe me!"Kelsie said completely ignoring me for the nth time.
