People at school started to live normally as if there was no plane crash that killed two students from Sanders High two weeks ago. It's like Lindsey was already forgotten even before her funeral which is this week. People even stopped visiting her small fort and writing in her condolence book which was barely halfway full. Life was moving on; I just wished I could keep up with its speed. The pain was still fresh in my heart. It was like a scar; healing but leaving a permanent mark behind.

Kelsie had given me my outfit, a pair of boots and a pair of black sunglasses. Saturday came fast. I still wasn't sure if I could stand seeing innocent Lindsey's body in a casket. It hurts thinking about it, I wonder what will happen when I see it.

I wore my black dress which I must say looked amazing on me. No makeup would be necessary today incase I ruined it with tears.

It was ten o'clock when I was really quiet. My dad was usually working on Saturdays and my mom was the early noisy bird. The house was never this quiet with her around. I looked for her in her room to inform her of my departure but she wasn't there. Where was this early noisy bird?

I slowly walked down the staircase. I didn't find anyone in the living room.

"Maybe she went out with dad," I assumed. I decided to grab a small snack in the kitchen before leaving. I can't be sad and hungry at the same time. Just as I was about to open the fridge, I noticed a HAND, a HUMAN HAND!

I slowly walked towards it to view the rest of the body. It was my MOM!

"Mom! Mom!" I shouted shaking her but she couldn't wake up.

"What to do... what to do!" I thought for a moment, "An ambulance! " I quickly removed my phone to call for help as I knelt beside my unconscious mother. Problem is, I didn't remember their contact!

"What did the first aid team in school say again? Uum... uh... I should really learn to listen!" All this time my mom was unconscious. I didn't know what to do.

I ran outside screaming, "Help! Help!" Luckily the neighbours arrived shortly. I was crying by this time.

"My mom, she's... she's... Help her!" I said pointing into the house. They rushed into the house to see what was going on. I stayed outside, afraid of what would happen next.

Mr. Wu, one of the neighbours, called an ambulance to get her.

"Where is your father?" Mr.Wu asked me.

"He went to work. You can give him a call." He called my dad and informed him about my mom and her current situation.

"What did he say?" I asked impatiently after he got off the phone.

"He's worried alright. He'll come to the hospital as soon as he can. In the mean time I'll send someone to the hospital with you. You can't go alone."

"Why don't you come with me?"

"I could if I had the chance. I have important matters to attend to. Wait here." He stepped aside to make another call. Isn't this situation an important matter? This is a life and death situation!"

"He's on his way," Mr. Wu said after his call. He then went back into the house.

"Why is this happening to me? WHY? Everything is suddenly so heavy, it's weighing me down!" I spoke to myself in distress.

"Who are you talking to?" I have heard this question before. The voice behind it was very familiar. I turned to look and it was CHARLIE!

"What are you doing here?"

"My dad gave me a call telling me to come here but I don't think it's the right address... and have you been crying?" He asked noticing my red puffy eyes. This only made me break into tears.
