Nico had just bought an apartment.
His first apartment, nonetheless, and he was alone.

He looked out the window of his dads expensive car, thinking. He guessed it wasn't technically his first apartment- he had lived in residence for his college for two years- but his stronzo of a father decided he needed to learn to be on his own.
He didn't ask Nico's permission, no, Nico woke up with his dad practically packing his room up for him, the week before the end of summer. He was literally shipping him off to a new part of New York, with unknown streets and unknown shops and unknown people.
Thankfully it was nice, and his dad was paying for him, but he only had a week before his new semester to unpack, get settled, and hopefully meet someone nice to show him around. The only place he knew how to get to was his campus, and it was a 15 minute bus ride away.

Nico wasn't particularly mad at his father for this, he just had built up passive anger towards him from over the years.
He thought the privacy might be nice, but he also hated being alone, and was afraid if he didn't meet anyone he might go insane.
He learned very quickly when he was in high school that he was not good in solitude.

His father was talking to his driver in Italian, about boring politics. All he wanted was to leave the car.
He was practically over joyed when they pulled up to the grey, boring building, and jumped out of the car as soon as it stopped.
The moving truck was behind their car, with the people who were going to bring all of his stuff up to his one bedroom apartment. He brushed his too-long hair out of his face with a bit of a smile, although he didn't want to live alone he did not want to stay with his father in his unbearable mansion.

He ignored his fathers calls to him to wait and ran upstairs to see his new place.

Nico rubbed his eyes tiredly, his first class of the day at 6:30, and it was 5:45. He didn't want to be late- that would be a nightmare- so he threw on a pair of black skinny jeans and a "1975" black sweatshirt before grabbing his bag and heading out the door.
He was facing the door of his 12 day old home to lock it, and turned back around, only to jump 3 feet in the air and stumble back, hitting his head on the door frame.

"Merda you scared me!" Nico whispered to the person across from him, leaving at the same time from his apartment. The only other door in the landing was open, and a boy that looked like the same age as Nico was staring at him with half a grin, like scaring him out of his skin was hilarious. His blonde hair was hanging over his freckles forehead, like mine did, but his hair had curls.

"Aha, I'm sorry.." he snickered, smiling at me-he had one of those smiles, that light up the whole room-
"You must be my new neighbour, I was going to bring you cookies, but I'm a horrible cook, and I'd probably burn my place down." He chucked to himself and shrugged.

"Oh, um, ya, heh, that's alright, I probably should have been the one to bring cookies, plus I am pretty good at baking if I don't say so myself," Nico rubbed the back of his neck, sure he was making an absolute fool of himself.

"No, no problem, I probably have enough sweets in my place to feed a family of eight," he quickly locked his door and Nico began walking with him to the stairs. The elevator was broken, not that he minded, cause he hated elevators.

"You sound like my sister, she could eat anything you gave to her," Nico smiled to himself , adjusting my backpack. He hadn't been able to see hazel for a while, as she was going to university in California.
Nico noticed Will also had a backpack on, over what looked like grey pj pants and white tshirt. He had earbuds hanging over the hem, like Nico did but with his sweater.

"Are you, um, going to school?" Nico asked. They turned another corner, and down the 3rd flight of stairs out of 7.

"Ya, university to be a children's doctor, what about you?" He tucked her hair behind his ear and looked at Nico. This guy- who he just realized he didn't know the name of- really liked eye contact, and Nico was fighting not to blush.
Cute guy+ eye contact= Puddle of Nico.
