Once Drew told Henry what had happened, they dragged the German out of our room. I never saw the man again. I trembled with fear to think of what would occur if anyone else found out about our scheme. Only a small prayer kept my nerves under control. My eyes were slowly closing and I knew I needed to get some rest for the next day. Laying my head on the stiff pillow, I went to sleep.

About a few hours in, I heard a door close and I turned to see Drew coming in trying to be as quiet as possible. "If you're trying not to disturb me, you're doing a terrible job."

The smirk on his face could be seen even in the dark, "At least I tried." Drew got himself comfortable on the chair next to my side of the bed.

"Are you sure you'll be comfortable there?" I asked.

"I've been in worse circumstances." Was his answer, "Don't worry about me, just get some rest, love."

I did as I was told and went back to sleep. That night I slept in a more peaceful manner than I had in months. To know that my boys and I would be reunited soon was a refreshing thought and that alone gave me inner joy. Thank You Lord....

I woke up the next morning to the sun shining through the window. "You looked so beautiful when you're asleep." Drew smiled at me.

At that moment I realized, I was completely alone with Drew in a room. Oh dear, what would the people back in Northumberland think? I sank back down into my covers slightly embarrassed that he could see me in my underclothes. "Do you mind if you give me a moment to change?"

"Of course." Drew said still sitting in the chair.

    "Alone."

"Oh. Yes, I'll get us some breakfast." He jumped up out of the chair quickly. It's a good thing he got the message...

I put on beige pantaloons and a white collared blouse along with a matching cardigan. Henry couldn't find any women's clothing so I was forced into a young man's old travel suit. It didn't look half bad on me, I supposed I could work with what I had.

Drew came in with some dark coffee and a hard biscuit as I put my long locks in a bun. Taking a bite out of the biscuit I quickly spit it out. "Good Lord what on earth is this?"

"A weapon." Drew laughed, "You could probably knock someone out with one of these things if you aim it to the head."

Taking a sip of my coffee, I regretted sippig it right away for the coffee tasted burnt. At this point, I didn't care and I took it all in anyways. "So, what are we doing today?"

"Meetings, you don't have to worry about them." Drew said.

"Well, then what  can I do?" I asked.

"Stay here." He said as he finished his meal, "Don't go around making a raucous." Drew gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked out of the cabin and left me to my thoughts.

Did he really expect me to just sit there for the rest of the day? Absolutely not. I began pacing the floor back and forth trying to think of what I was going to do with myself for the rest of the day until tonight. Then a thought began to entertain in my mind: What if I went to see Jerry and Gil. No harm in that? I could say I wanted to get some information out of them. Yes, brilliant idea. I began to try to recite how to say "I need to receive some information from them" in German.

"Ich muss einige Informationen von ihnen erhalten." I repeated it over and over again unitl I got comfortable with it.

I looked at myself in the mirror and reminded myself that I could do this. Giving a deep sigh, I put on my gray coat and made my way to the torture cabin. The men kept looking at me and whistled as I passed by them. I tried not to pay attention as I walked on and only thought of what I planned to do.
