Little Orphan Jane - (Margarita)
Da angels has sent,
A child to me,
She has no words,
Scared as scared could be.
Some galletas y leche,
Brings a smile to her face.
But still no words,
Her fears es not erased.
Senorita Myna says,
Little Jane can stay with me.
Now dat I es living,
At da bakery.
I will show her some love,
And keeps her safe.
Until we can find da parents,
Of dis poor little waif.
She can help in da kitchen,
Maybe play with little Ron.
I pray dat her parents,
To Heaven have not gone.
I makes her a new dress,
From some old flour sacks;
And spend 10 pennies,
To buy her some jacks.
I thinks para Navidad,
A doll I makes for her,
With clothes to match,
I think she will likes it for sure.
