A Short Tail
3gun worried placed the injured O'Boyle in the cell
"Don't you worry none sheriff we'll take good care of him"
Smiles Sol with a malicious grin
"If anything happens to this man-"
3gun began
"Go sheriff...I'll be fine."
O'Boyle interrupted on the bunk lying
"Fine? you can't even stand"
The sheriff rant
"You need a hand."
"It's ok these boys will look after me, ain't that right?"
O'Boyle asked polite
"The mans right go Sheriff."
Sol smiled
"We'll look after him for sure."
"You better or you will have me to answer for?"
The sheriff threatened closing the cell door.
He left knowing he could do no more
"We better be nice or the sheriff is gonna Hang us twice?"
Mocked Sol his pal laughed and turned to the bunk greedily
"Time to have us a party!"
Both moved to the half dead body
"Nice Haircuts."
O'Boyle mumbled from the bunk
""What he say?"
Asked the quite one
O'Boyle begun..
"I killed five mean child killing Comanchero."
Town makes me out to be a hero
Then they throw me into jail
Not a nickel for bail
Pa always said no good deed goes undone next time I'm sticking to killing for fun."
"You ain't in no shape to act mean."
Smiles Sol
Moving in
Then he saw O'Boyle grin
"Mean? I ain't mean."
O'Boyle smiled
"Now my brother he's got the devil inside
You wouldn't think, must gentle giant you have ever seen
But get him mad
He gets mean
One night a drunk pastor toff shot my brothers cats tail right off
That Sunday in church that pastor had a reckoning with my brother
He threw him on his alter
Taking his open razor he cut that pastors little tail with one slit
"There"
He shouted
"See how you like it!"
"Yep like I said, nice hair I'd recognize my brothers Strop work anywhere."
"If it's alright with you boys I'm gonna get some shut eye."
"Adios, goodnight bye."
