The Honeymoon's (Never) Over - Myna
I lay still under the blankets,
My mind racing full speed;
Wrapped in his loving arms,
I never want to be freed.
But...
It's back to the grind,
There's muffins to be made;
Bet I'll find the Sheriff,
Snoozing in the shade.
We pack up our camp,
Start headin' back, nice and slow.
The sun's peekin' over the mountains,
Putting on a beautiful show.
The honeymoon is over,
Wish it didn't have to be...
But...
Lorne has many important,
Mayoral duties to over see.
My mind continues to wander,
Over all that needs to be done...
When Lorne pulls my reins up short,
"I don't want this to end,
Why can't it just be you and I?
This honeymoon we should extend!"
I give a little giggle,
Then lay the spurs to Lace,
"Mr. Order, you're rotten to the core!"
And now we're in a race.
I reach the barn first,
But Loren is quickly at my side,
"I believe I won, Mr. Order!
I hope I didn't hurt your pride!"
Lorne gives me his best,
Gritty, smoldering grin,
"You sassy little minx!!
You know...I let you win!"
